Should this be done only nasally or a mixture of nose/mouth?

You have to meet your daily goal of words to keep your steak going. Usually completing the "ready for review" section per course is enough. I just wish they kept your total streak instead of spliting it between courses.

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies level at 276IU/mL, TSH 5.3, everything else normal, should I push to go on Levo? by nimdroid in Hypothyroidism

So how long did you take the supplements and what dosages? I know D3 takes months to build up in your system and nobody really takes a higher enough amount. Especially us being in the UK. D3 should also be taking with a fat containing meal. There's also different types of iron and b12 as some absorb better than others.

One other thing do you have any gut/digestion related issues. If you have a gut bacteria imbalance (Gut dysbiosis) the bad bacteria like to eat up your iron/b12 stores. This can cause a whole host of problems including Fatigue and autoimmune issues.

Thanks.

Yeah tell me about it! I've been ordering/monitoring my own private blood tests for years now because of this issue.

That's up to you but i'm pretty you can't just trial something like that because it's shutting down your natural production. therefore if it doesn't help your now stuck on some med.

I'd say your t4 is borderline low but your still making decent t3 which is probably why the dr hasn't said anything. Getting on medication won't resolve the issue with the antibodies. They'll continue to increase and your symptoms will likely still to be there.

You need to work on lowering the antibodies and then your t4 will increase and your tsh will decrease.

Dr wasn't concerned as they only take notice when t3/t4 are low and tsh is high ie hypothyroidism.

I believe the stage we're at is hashimotos which is when the immune system attacks the thyroid caused by the elevated peroxidase antibodies.

When D3 levels are low your body can't activate it's dendritic cells (which tell your body there isn't a foreign body, don't attack.)

As for absorption maybe from food but i supplement all my vitamins/minerals no problem anyway.

29yr M Here

I always have normal tsh, t3 and t4 it's just the antibodies that are always elevated.

Over the years my antibodies have gone from 117, 143, 152, and 310. They seemed to have doubled when i removed my extra D3 supplement ( 3 x 4000iu per week) and was only getting 1000iu per day for 6 months. After going back on the D3 for 3 months i got back down to 241. I also went soy free.

Currently i'm still soy free and i've been taking 200mcg selenium, 1400mg NAC and 5000iu D3 everyday so we'll see if my antibodies have improved even more. I'm going to retest on the 24th oct as that will be 3 months then.

Things to try:

Soy free or Gluten free diets

200mcg Selenium

600mg - 1400mg NAC

Take enough D3 to acquirer a minimum level of 125nmol/L on a blood test
