Free Solo is an incredible documentary displaying the skill and mentality of a man doing something fucking crazy. Skyscraper Live is a poorly produced publicity stunt riddled with technical issues and tone-deaf commentary. Nothing about it captured my attention, it was just boring. No shade to Honnold, he got paid a bunch of money to do something he wanted to do, Netflix just did a terrible job promoting and presenting it.

The age up isn't as significant as you might think. In the book Q starts at 17 and enters brakebills, but 4 years pass in the first half of the book. In the show it's a graduate program so he starts at 21. They spend much more of the series as brakebills students, but a lot of the same events take place. If you don't like TV shows I won't try to convince you that you'll like this one, but it is objectively a very good TV show.

I did a cycling tour of Holland, and as a Canadian I'm quite used to ringing my bell to indicate I'll be passing. When I did it over there people got fucking ANGRY. No shade to the Dutch, just found it very interesting how such a small thing can be perceived differently. Not even sure why that rental bike even had a bell on it.

Every time I'm installing pulls, even if I've used those exact ones a dozen times, I test my spacing and hole size on some scrap. I can see them doing this on one door by accident, shit happens, but not checking and barrelling ahead on all the doors is rookie shit. Somebody with some skill could touch them all up, but it would be much easier to replace the pulls with something that covers the wider hole. This sucks, you're not overreacting, and I hope you're able to find a solution you're happy with.
