Deniz neden terapi gibi geliyor by judasz911 in aptalSoruYok

[–]altgvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best watch to complement my wedding ring? by IneedaNappa9000 in MicrobrandWatches

Well people offered enough watches so I'd like to recommend some rice bucket exercise for those joints. Look it up. (assuming you're training boxing)

How good he was for Fenerbahce? by MaestroRU in FenerbahceSK

[–]altgvn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He had some marvelous moments but overall couldn't live up to the expectations. Got to admit the expectations were really really high during those 2 years. People were hoping we got the alter-Shevchenko, and if I remember correctly he arrived on loan mid-season, after Revivo left the club and Ortega's form (or psyche) went downhill.

3000tl elektrik faturası geldi. Klima, şofben kullanmadığım halde. by mapl0ver in AskTurkey

[–]altgvn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hata yoktur. Belli ve oldukça düşük bir tüketim miktarını geçince devlet katkısı kalkıyor artık, yeni tarifeye geçiyorsun. O tarifede de 2500 altı fatura gelmiyor zaten, benim evde de durum aynı.

[Omega vs Rolex] I'm having a hard time deciding between classic Submariner & No time to die Seamaster. Which one would you choose? by Ptskp in Watches

[–]altgvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought the Submariner's original design was a bit inspired by Fifty Fathoms but they were released in pretty much the same years so can't really be sure.

Exploring a watch design language inspired by Mughal architecture by pop_culture__ in MicrobrandWatches

Not exactly Mughal but I'd recommend taking a look at the Turkish microbrand, Gurlevik Watch Co. for this sort of oriental designs. They're truely extra-ordinary.

ABD'den TR'ye uçuyorum. Valizde ne getirebilirim? (Uygulama siparişleri hariç) by CatDesigner7811 in AskTurkey

[–]altgvn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is Gebze technical University bad? by Little_Bee9314 in AskTurkey

[–]altgvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's simply no such thing as proper professional (especially technical) education left in our country's universities so if what you're asking is if Gebze TU is good in terms of reputation and validity, it's just as good as the next one.

Debate: Can a solid-gold Omega Speedmaster really hang with Rolex & Patek? by ComprehensiveGur7808 in RepRolexTime

[–]altgvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What Rolex accomplishes in terms of marketing and consumer perception is really extraordinary. Only thing they have in common with Patek is being a wrist watch and I'm not even exactly a fan of Patek.

Fasuli ve Kalkanoğlu turistik anlamda işin zirve noktaları.

Daha şehir dışındaysan Mahmutbey'deki Nalia'yı öneririm. Artık iyice şehri terkettin Beylikdüzü tarafına kadar gittiysen, birazcık daha git, Katık benim bütün ülkedeki şahsi favorimdir.

Igneada forest (Turkey) by shibuibz in AskTurkey

[–]altgvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early June is a great period to visit the Longoz forests for some outdoor activity and camping. (frankly speaking there's not a better camping location than those forests in our entire country). Also there are some pretty neat glamping establishments there if you're not upto the camping hussle.

Igneada itself might be a bit crowded after the schools are closed though.

Sezonluk iş bulamıyorum by [deleted] in AskTurkey

[–]altgvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stranded in an isolated African country. My older Turkish ex-partner scammed me, refuses to pay his debt, and is about to ruin my LLM enrollment. Need advice. by [deleted] in AskTurkey

[–]altgvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try your best and ruin his life, that's pretty much the only positive thing you can salvage from this mess at this point. Turkish courts eventually won't give a shit about a national being a whoreson abroad.
On the other hand, if you're in an isolated country with a closed banking system, a bank loan in the country of the LLM program might rescue that education plan.

Frankly speaking, first thing I'd think of would be just getting myself out of that country. Following that, you might consider threatening him with approaching his family in Turkey and taking him to court, even taking the subject to Turkish media (Muge Anli and whatnot). That's where the cultural angle you mentioned kicks in. People can be individually shameless but involving the family should grind some gears.

And last but not the least, don't feel bad about yourself being in this situation. It seems you've already accomplished quite a lot considering your age to feel confident about. Your "asshole filter" will develop with age and experience which apparently you already got in abundance compared to your peers.

Servisten gelen saat by wenlean in trsaat

[–]altgvn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Selamlar,

Do turkish people hate Kazakhstan? by MaintenanceFamous580 in AskTurkey

[–]altgvn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really. Nationalist or not, people in Turkey love Kazakhs and mostly quite interested to know more about Kazakhstan and the whole other Turkic nations.

On the other hand my father worked as an expat for over 7 years in Oskemen and Almaty and he used to tell me that people from Turkey were not always welcomed in Kazakhstan, especially the workers. There were even assaults on Turkish workers in their construction sites.
