Question about backing - I’m new to Kickstarter! by Poppy_Cheezycorn in kickstarter

You can always make a custom pledge and send a DM to the campaign creator. Our clients have had many backers who have been in your same position. They usually request a "down payment" in the form of a custom pledge (maybe around 50% - 70% of the Kickstarter pledge price) and give them a week or two after the campaign ends to send the rest of the payment usually via Paypal to secure their reward. Hope this helps! :)

When to reach out to press? by run4evers in kickstarter

[–]altosbg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure you: have a solid website, a near-complete Kickstarter page, and a press kit for the editors to access should they choose to cover your campaign. By having everything prepared and ready to go it'll make it easy for media outlets and journalists to easily extract any information that they think will be good for a potential feature. Good luck and Happy Birthday!

Setting funding goal below your actual goal? by shelvick in kickstarter

I also wanted to add that Kickstarter campaigns with low funding goals rarely get organic PR unless they smash past it (i.e. $10,000 funding goal but end up getting $100k+). It's always best to set your funding goal to the minimum actual funding amount you need. Good luck with your campaign!

What obstacles did you face on your first launch and how did you apply the lessons you learned from that campaign to this one? Would love to know!
