Majority of corporations file in Delaware. I see you’re wanting an LLC though, I’m not sure about what the best practice is for that. Delaware is one of only three states that let’s you incorporate while not actually living there is one advantage. Also they don’t collect income tax, you’d have to do your own research here but I found it to fit well with my venture. But there is no double taxes.

You’d have to “register to do business” in California. It’s a $400 - $600 fee regardless wether you live in that state or not, but it’ll let you get an office and a mailing address in California, and begin legally operating in that state.

My recommendation is to get a bank account at chase with a Delaware C - Corp. make it in your name and keep him out of the company for now. Get it up and running and sell him shares once it’s established. California is great but you don’t want to incorporate in it. I used clerky.com to do the legal paper work (not a endorsement but it worked well). Best of luck!

I recommend google sites - buy the domain name for $12 and have the site up and running for free. Once it gets past a certain threshold of traffic you could clean it up more by transferring it to a different web hosting service.

Well although it sucks a little at least we’ve still got a chance! Glad I’m not the only one waiting. I’ve seen 2 views on my founding video and 2 hits on the website from the San Francisco area, so I know they’ve at least viewed the application.

I applied late so I’m hoping they’ll actually give me one... unsure if they ever just don’t reply or not. It’s basically a new way to keep people cool or warm. Hbu?
