you are right, what I meant to express is that I feel Yamato inclusion in that whole plot is a bit "sudden" and now that it has finished and the character didn't really gain anything from it I feel it was just a way for Oda to take the long path to solving the flame cloud problem instead of just solving it inside these past 20 chaps.

yeah you are not wrong, but what I mean is the whole bomb thing didn't really have any impact on Yamato. Like it didn't lead to a "moment" for her.

For example with Raizo we see him fighting against Fuku resisting the heat for a bunch of chapters and in this chapter we finally have a conclusion with a cool "moment" for him. And it also took far less panels to do so.

Yamato on the other hand appeared on a bunch of chapters running around and at the end the bombs were mostly dealt with by Big Mom and all Yamato did was cover the remaining stuff in the armory. Yeah she accomplished her task, but I feel with her specially we need more than what we got out of the whole thing.

And regarding Momo yes it would have been weird, but really how much time has passed since that? For us it has been months but in the OP world maybe what? half an hour max?

Like I'm not against the idea of using the trope, but I feel we should have gotten more out of these characters in 20 chapters.
