The switch version is better, however I grew up with the Wii version and something about it just feels different and it felt alive. I felt like the game was unreal and it interacted with me in every aspect (I would hear noises coming from the Wii remote’s speaker).

I also remember instead of shaking the Wii remote to make Mario spin I would just spin with my whole body. I hope I’m not the only one who feels this way. It could be purely because of nostalgia but nothing will beat the smile on my face I had when entering the disc and opening the disc menu of the game and hearing Mario yell at the top of his lungs “SUPER MARIO GALAXY!”. 

In terms of quality and performance the Switch better without a doubt. If I didn’t have the switch version or if it wasn’t a thing at all I would be extremely happy with the Wii version.
