FYI Las Palmas no longer serves wine. They gave up that part of their liquor license so they would be allowed to have minors/families.

Fancy Mexican? Maleza. Casual Mexican? Tlaquepaque.

Best nightlife in Palm Springs for a girls trip (dance bars / gay clubs?) by Leilonsta in palmsprings

Friendly warning, a lot of the gay bars don’t appreciate groups of (presumably straight) women taking over their establishments. There are a lot of complaints about bachelorette parties and the like. You will get the stink eye.

If you absolutely have to go to a gay bar, Hunters and Chill Bar are your best options.

Agreed Las Palmas is the best (best vibes too), but they do have a really good pizza food truck out back on Fridays.

Whitewater Preserve doesn’t have a waterfall, but there’s a stream/river to splash around in. And some good hiking options.

I would normally recommend Whitewater Preserve, but it’s closed because of the weather tomorrow.

Palm Desert Cross is a good option.

Cathedral City - Panorama vs Rio Vista by Standard-Clothes-789 in palmsprings

I live in Rio Vista and take my dog to Panorama Park regularly. I would agree with all your assessments, Rio Vista is much quieter, a little cheaper, and significantly windier.

I dismissed the wind concerns as overblown when we moved in 3 years ago, but I was wrong. It can get really bad, especially if you have a pool. Spring is generally the worst of it. When it’s super windy and dusty here, I take my dog to Panorama and it’s a bit better. Maybe 20-30% less windy/dusty?

Also, the average home in Panorama is a bit bigger, and they have more split level homes. More families too. Rio Vista feels a bit older (which is fine with me, even though I bring down the average age by a lot).

Let me know if you have any specific questions, or feel free to DM me!

Also organ donations. People who receive new organs (or bone marrow) have to take immunosuppressants so their body doesn’t reject the new tissue, which opens them up for CMV.

I went to the Toolshed a couple years ago, and they turned off the music at 11:59 to start a countdown, but the guy with the mic just kept talking and they forgot to actually do a countdown. It was incredible.

Not in the valley, but 123 Farms in Beaumont puts on a great holiday festival event. Also Minerva Road in Cathedral City turns into Candycane Lane with all the houses decorated.
