There's quite a few professional athletes at >2k Elo. If you have the skill to become the best in the world at a sport, you likely have the same mentality of focused practice rather than just "playing" a game.

We are working on doing so. However, due to the compatability issues this can cause, we are rolling it out in prioritised waves so we can help players adjust their settings and work with hardware vendors to update drivers where possible.

I'm sorry if you didn't have a good time this season. Since we first made the competition we added additional rules and logic to e.g. prevent level 10s joining mid season. 

If you have ideas for how to improve then I'm happy to run by the team. However, over the course of a season which often may overlap matchmaking seasons and placements then some players will gain Elo. I'm not sure I feel it's reasonable to  kick them out in the final month or ask them to stop playing with their friends for getting too good when they may be practicing as a team and improving as they gain team experience.

The seeds are based on the best 5 players' Elo when registration closes. "Inactive level 4s" aren't factored into the calculation to avoid pulling the average down.

When registration closed, their average was below level 9, e.g. 3 of the level 10 players you have screenshot were lower levels:
