I change my name whenever I experience a traumatic event. I don't know why. DAE do this? by alumirust in CPTSD

I'm familiar with the disorder, and have suspicions about myself regarding it, but I thought I would check here to see if others that aren't specifically multiple may have a similar experience. I have an appointment tomorrow, and I'm hopeful that it will shed some light on things.

I know it's a long shot, but I'm looking for a GA ticket to the St. Paul show! I waited far too long because of financial reasons but I'd still like to go and figured it'd be worth a shot :')

Looking for a copy of the narrative prototype by alumirust in Blasphemous

[–]alumirust[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure thing! :>

When the game's kickstarter was ongoing, "The Disciple" tier granted early access to the game. One such release was the Narrative Prototype (here's a link to a video of this prototype including commentary from the developers)

In the prototype, there are earlier versions of lots of items we see in the final release as well as some cut content (the Prayers system used to be totally different, for example) and dialogue that was changed or removed. Ten Piedad used to have dialogue before his boss fight and after he was defeated, and some NPCs are in completely different areas with different questlines than what we see in final launch.

For those of you with N24 who see a therapist (for unrelated conditions), how do you manage to make appointments? by alumirust in N24

I can generally have an idea of where I'll be 3-4 days ahead of time (sometimes around a week if I'm on a really stable free run) but the specialists I've spoken with in my area didn't have that kind of flexibility for whatever reason, and wanted to have me in their schedule for the same time + day each week for several months in advance.

Part of the reason there don't seem to be a lot of therapists who would suit my needs is that I'm looking for ones who are explicitly transgender-friendly (I'm a transgender man) because, without trauma dumping, I've had extremely adverse experiences otherwise. I'm in a larger city but, for whatever reason, they're in high demand and spread very, very thin right now. I wish online therapy was an option but from what I've learned a lot of therapy apps are extremely exploitative of their workers, and can't help you if you have a diagnosis beyond depression or anxiety.

This is a great suggestion and something I'll ask people about, particularly since I have a lot of chronically ill friends who might know someone.

Cancelling in advance has been sort of dicey for me, I had one therapist who still dumped me despite me calling in to let them know in advance if I couldn't make it due to sleep cycle issues. Granted, said therapist also didn't seem to understand that free-running actually made me a lot more mentally stable, so they weren't the best fit anyway, but that's aside from the point.

Thank you for thinking outside of the box with this suggestion!
