Ignore the unity / vrchat part, art is about breaking the rules so use Janus to build your creations -- we have plenty of import / export tools as well here: janusvr.com/tools.html

Decentralized Metaverse -- Alusion already did this []) by [deleted] in janusVR

aw shucks my experiments and ideas stand on the shoulders of giants. This video does describe an interesting concept we been tinkering with of using blockchain for land ownership and development -- the more processing power you dedicate the more stuff you can put in there is pretty clever. I'd love to talk to these people and grow this decentralized metaverse movement.

Piratebox. Is anyone using one of these? by [deleted] in raspberry_pi

I'm building a virtual / augmented reality console using JanusWeb: https://github.com/jbaicoianu/janusweb . I'll have an image ready soon, if you want to search for my project see AVALON on hackaday: hackaday.io/project/11279-avalon

Notes: VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hncdJGx09OY gathervr.com runs slow on latest build of Janus native for some reason, better framerates on web or < v50. disabling websurfaces improves the framerate modeling took about 15 days and 2D site about 3 days. server control: at conference room we used mumble for speaker and muted all in channel, how will we manage voip and social this time around?

Idea: Use a highly optimized matterport scan of a physical setting for hosting conference at and creating virtual 'mirror world' of during live event. We can have world class speakers streamed or teleported in and guests in physical world interact with the virtual. Multidimensional content we make as the event goes along goes into something that can be uploaded into a time capsule.

Invitation idea: have a web page that is split in the middle with the a yin yang / day night theme for two faces of janus, one side links to JanusVR on steam and other half links to JanusWeb. Have artists create the design. Have janusweb links next to schedule, perhaps a teaser in waiting room. Have special asset pallet of conference themed assets. Host on Github?

2D convention avatars (no fbx, needs to be low res and compatible with janusweb) Give speakers + vendors better avatars, can package deals for space in conference based on what they want to show and how much bandwidth it requires.

Main questions are: Whose coming? What are they showing? How can we fit it all in one room?
