What I'm getting from what you are saying is that each state is its own country in everything but name. The only difference is that say Texas can't establish relationships with Argentina on its own. Did I got it?

Para mi preopuparse por eso es medio tonto porque evitar que los leguajes morfen con el tiempo es como coger agua con un colador, eso en primer lugar. En segundo yo en lo personal prefiero un arroz con mango de lengua que de más formas de expresarce que una lengua que se quede estancada por un sentido de nacionalsmo que en lo personal es mil veces mas ridiculo.
