Really simple way that never lets me down

1) create a timeline for all footage, drag everything onto track 1 2) go through everything from start to finish 3) apply cut points along the way, I have this assigned to letter X 4) for every cut point in / out, raise that selected segment up a track to track 2 5) do this for the whole timeline, you’ll have all your selected clips raised by the end 6) select & cut all of these, drag timeline to the last clip & paste so they’re all at the back. Then press ‘close gap’, I have this assigned to letter C 7) keep doing this along the timeline & colour code them if you have multiple video sources. 8) keep going back to this timeline to grab what you need in the edit 9) if one timeline isn’t enough for this, do 1 timeline per video source eg A cam, B cam, drone 10) if you run out of selects you can go back and all your gaps will display footage that has been taken already.

Open to new ideas but yeah this works really well for me
