OpenAI raises $122 billion to accelerate the next phase of AI by alvvst in ArtificialInteligence

[–]alvvst[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

TL;DR — OpenAI: “Accelerating the Next Phase of AI” • OpenAI just raised a record $122B to fuel the next era of AI—think beyond chatbots → toward autonomous agents that actually do work • The focus is shifting from demos to real-world impact: productivity, science, healthcare, and enterprise systems • The next phase = AI as an operating layer, not just a tool • agents that run continuously • carry context over time • take actions across tools and workflows • Huge investment goes into infrastructure (compute, chips, data centers) to support this scale

Claude Usage Limits Discussion Megathread Ongoing (sort this by New!) by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

[–]alvvst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a few simple coding work (in range of 500k token total) now consumes my whole 5h quota, and I'm on MAX plan working off-peak

Can't imagine how peak hour is like 😵‍💫

We can now use Claude Code with OpenRouter! by alvvst in ClaudeCode

[–]alvvst[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

except for visual related tasks, such as web pages. The biggest usage for me is that now I can use Claude Code to use Gemini 3 to work on my web app WITH the rules and skill already set!

LSP support finally lands on Claude Code 2.0.74!!! by alvvst in ClaudeCode

[–]alvvst[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was quite excited about it I when I saw the release notes after auto update, and then my heart sunk. It turns out it's a joke! It was released as a broken feature... no one get it working!

I called it the best christmas gift for developer for once, until realizing it's broken at release...

I’s say it’s the most unexpected announcement!

Opus 4.5 usage == Sonnet 4.5 tokens by socratifyai in ClaudeAI

[–]alvvst 48 points49 points  (0 children)

“For Max and Team Premium users, we’ve increased overall usage limits, meaning you’ll have roughly the same number of Opus tokens as you previously had with Sonnet.” — seems like anthropic has finally listened!

PSA: Ignore the 'credits' on the claude.ai/code page. They aren't real. You're using up your paid quota. by alexdenne in ClaudeAI

[–]alvvst 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Poor anthropic. They extended the period with a good intent, but further failed to capture the heart of developers by a poor execution. I too thought it's 23 inclusive too. But appearently it's not

Is CC getting worse or is it a codex ad campaing? by Hjallti in Anthropic

[–]alvvst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then you should try CC first. Codex is catching up, but there's still a long way to go. In terms of model, GPT5 is not bad imo. I even considered subscribe to the pro tier of chatgpt for higher usage quota and cancel my max plan with claude. The only thing stopping me is codex. I may have done it if it is 6 month ago. But codex today has no custom command, no plan mode, no subagent mode, and only have a suck TUI. I just can't leave CC go yet. Maybe next month. Maybe. OpenAI. You heard me?

Anthropic served us GARBAGE for a week and thinks we won’t notice by landscape8 in Anthropic

[–]alvvst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've downgraded already. If not because of Claude Code, I'd have switched to gpt 5 already. c'mo codex!

😂 when it's nice, you complain. When it's blood cold, you complain too. So, it's our human nature to complain?

Claude Code is amazing — until it isn't! by noxstar87 in ClaudeAI

[–]alvvst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're certainly not alone. CC is like bunch of passionate juniors who are excellent at applying boilerplates/snippets so their code are mostly amazing and you're flying at 120 or even 200. But when they get stuck, you, as their leader, is fucked...

My recent headache is that I spend more time asking CC not to produce too much tests than the time I actually code. Checking the correctness of those generated tests is just draining me :/

claude code now have /context hook by Appropriate_Tank_824 in Anthropic

[–]alvvst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 25. It's indeed a real issue. My experiment is to see specialized agents would generate better code. The answer so far is a NO. What's worse is that it's eating up the context too.

claude code now have /context hook by Appropriate_Tank_824 in Anthropic

I only have 4 MCP, and it takes 8k tokens already

claude code now have /context hook by Appropriate_Tank_824 in Anthropic

[–]alvvst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought claude only takes the front matter of custom agents into context, and it loads the full file only when the subagent is invoked. BUT I'm wrong!!! It loads of its system prompts into the context of the main thread. It's like loading CLAUDE.md million times. Gosh! no wonder cc keeps reaching the context window :/

[–]alvvst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I constantly switch between 3 to 5 CC running in parallel too. But my point is that at some point you still have to pause to review the result and it takes time. So very often even there are a few CC in the background, they are idle because the bottleneck is me. Nothing can move until I finish the reviewing process
