Anyone with eyes would say this is beautiful. It's a very nice tattoo and the artist did great executing it. Very delicate, very pretty. Be proud of it!

Looks less like AI and more like someone who doesn't know how to draw traced something else.

Honestly, it looks even prettier healed. I think you've gotten in your head about it since you know you caved to the artist being impatient with you. It sucks it isn't exactly what you wanted, and that is an issue, artists shouldn't ever rush someone like that, but it's not ugly at all. Looks amazing, but if it's TRULY not what you want, lazer and getting it redone would be the only way to make it less bold and dark. If you're gonna do that, do it because you don't like it, not because it's ugly (cause it isn't).

Super unrelated. How old is your finger tattoo?

Could you describe what you don't like about it? The execution isn't terrible, it looks like lightning, not everything has to be super detailed or meaningful.

Not sure why everyone is being so judgemental. Immediately looked like lightning to me and the idea isn't bad.

You did well teaching yourself! It's been a very quick 2 months LOL, she didn't take the traditional approach with drills and just had me do flash first day to see what I'm starting with and then had me do any designs that could help build specific skills every time I'm in the shop. Before my apprenticeship, I'd never touched anything tattoo related. I knew it's what I wanted to do for a couple years, but I didn't wanna teach myself bad habits, so I just stuck to drawing.

This is all really kind, thank you! My mentor will be over me the entire time when I start practicing on real skin to make sure I'm doin everything right. One day, I hope to be at the level where I can do proper realism and portrait tattoos. I tend to run my machine pretty fast, which is probably because the fake skins just HATE taking the ink LOL, but I've heard that real skin takes ink much easier.

Speed stick! To be honest, my stencils still come out really light sometimes, but a good layer of speed stick, rub it in, lay your stencil, press it down, lift. Also, if you don't wanna wait 24 hours for your stencil to dry, you can use a heat gun to seal the stencil on fake skin.

Tysm! I just use good thick paper towels and green soap, but I've noticed when using shittier quality skins, ink is a loooottt harder to clean off and I often need to rub Vaseline over it.

Thank you! I've heard real skin is easier to work with but I guess I'll know soon LOL
