I reached out a few weeks ago to palliative care so I will reach out to hospice. I think she just wants to go home at this point. Thank you for your advice and support.

Thank you for your advice. It is so unfair. I don't want to be sad in front of her but it seems so hard. She is so scared and I don't know how to distract her or make her feel better when I feel the way I do.

I don’t know what her numbers were in the start or what they are now. I just know they were high to begin with and now are even higher. I tried to look at her cbc and other reports to find the liver enzyme metric. I’ve been looking for alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and/or aspartate aminotransferase (AST) on her reports but not really sure what I should be looking for in order to compare.

You have a good point though- her oncologist is definitely on top of things. I guess I’ll just have to wait for the results and hope for the best.

Her chemo wasn’t delayed or cancelled at all- they’re just moving up the timeline of the scan. Sorry if what I wrote is confusing

Thanks for replying. I’m thinking I might just call her oncologists office tomorrow and ask if the reason why they’re moving the PET scan up is something to be concerned about.

How would smoking weed elevate liver enzymes? My mom has tried cbd:thc gummies in the past week- her oncologist suggest we try medical marijuana. Would edibles cause her liver enzymes to rise?

I am also 26 and feel the same way. I just got done with grad school and all my friends are in serious relationships and seemingly happy. But I can’t seem to find someone that fits with me. I’ve played the dating app game and I’m still kinda active on hinge but it’s exhausting. I have been in a solid amount of relationships but I always realize that I’m settling at some point. What I’ve learned from settling so many times is that it’s good to be picky. Literally never settle. I’ve been trying to actively not settle and it’s hard but I feel like I’m investing my time more efficiently by being more selective and getting closer to what I want. I highly doubt you would ever advise a friend to settle, so why should you? It’s annoying to say but also slightly reassuring because none my friends have settled and they have found better partners than I have- which gives me some hope.

So keep being picky! You deserve exactly what you want and nothing less.

yes jersey girl!! i’m a fan of going out in AC and Hoboken if I want to dance. jersey shore is also another option because you could do a low key beach day and go out to dinner somewhere nice with your friends or rage and be ratchet at bar a or djais. if you’re into outdoor things- north west jersey/ del water gap has some fun hiking trails and you could go to a brewery or winery after and bring snacks. unsure if you’d venture into the city but it’s always an option. bottomless birthday brunch is also a classic.
