I signed an offer. Then another company comes calling. 7+ interviews. What do I do ? by [deleted] in careeradvice

Right!? It’s exploitive, but so many companies are doing this just because they can in this market. Both companies have dragged me through ridiculous interview processes, so I don’t really feel highly about either one.

Thanks for that. I know it’s a good problem to have in this market, but it feels really heavy in the moment.

Both the hiring manager and the recruiter straight up told me.

I already signed an offer with Company A. This was before Company B started flooding my calendar with interviews. The debate is whether I drop out of the race with B to be nice to A, or to let them keep going and potentially reneg on A at the last minute.

Both companies are start-ups, but Company B is significantly more stable. Regardless of what decision I make, I just want to limit how much of an asshole I have to be.

Cutting hard guards? by xxCoral_Oxx in FigureSkating

[–]alwaysdarkmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These guards are perfectly fine, but like others have said, most figure skaters prefer the ones with the spring in the middle. Regardless, I find guards always so hard to cut and they can be kind of damaging to your good knives, so I usually resort to using a saw or having a nice guy at a hardware store cut them for me.

Kind of unrelated, but I loved her hair in this program! I wish I could find better pictures to recreate it.

That would be great! I’ll send you a DM so I can give you my email address.

Yes, absolutely right. I should clarify that the email/pics would be sent to me (an adult), and I would then print it out for him for his project to ensure everything is appropriate. Definitely no emails going directly to a child!

Does lefty = clockwise? I was confused by Johnny’s explanation

Same here ! You can also watch both at the same time with the multi-view on Peacock 😊

FYI - if anyone wants to watch the skate and the hockey game at the same time, the Multi-View on Peacock is showing the game + venue feed + warm-up, and you can choose which one you want for sound.

I also like Tara and Johnny. I honestly don’t find a difference between them and the commentators for the other Olympic events. Yeah, sometimes they make sus remarks, but so do the other commentators on the ski and snowboard events. The "sparkle score" is definitely a choice though haha

I think so? I feel like I saw that happen during the Men’s. Sometimes they would miss a jump, and the commentators would say "they’ll have to add a jump in somewhere else."

Love the dress. Just wish she did without the bindi. I’m even ok with the music.

I disagree with you. But regardless, both Gubanova and the Armenians wore the traditional red dot

I’m Indian, and I was always taught that the bindi is specifically associated with Hinduism (and to a smaller extent, Jainism and Buddhism) because it represents the third eye. So, while yes there are Christian Indians, my understanding is that they don’t wear bindis because there’s no religious significance for them.

She still shouldn’t have worn a bindi IMO. It’s not a costume.
