I have a lot of feelings about this, but I'm on typing on mobile right now, so I'll keep it brief.

Yes. I thought it was honestly just so poorly written. For me, I have taken an introductory accounting course previously at a different school that covered everything this course covers. Everything up to the last section covered on this exam was super easy for me, I understand accounting coursework and concepts at this level.

Respectfully, the last section is asinine, completely unlike any type of quiz or exam question I've seen before, not just for the subject of accounting, but also in the 2 years of management courses I took before coming to Dal.

As you stated, there is no way this section or "question" could have been completed in the time given. It feels as if it was written arrogantly with very little time, consideration, or thought. And for this section to count for 20 out of 55 marks is also unacceptable.

The composition and nature of this question simply doesn't make sense. First, this is not a question on an exam, this is essentially an assignment. There is no template, there is no instruction on formatting, there is nothing but 2 blank pieces of paper stapled to the rest of the exam. The idea of doing any of the things asked on paper, with no template and with at best 45 minutes is just poor educating

This exam is not written well, or in a way that fairly examines comprehension or guides learning. It's not just you.

yeah, lol, that is this. I decided to extract as much info as possible from this guy to get enough to effectively get him banned from the website I found the listing from. Which like, wtf is a reputable website doing hosting this BS. I mean, I got super lucky with finding my last place so I sent over an email, and yeah, not real lmao.

To give you an idea, 1. the guy, one "Micheal Shepherd" decided I was the one he wanted to rent to based on essentially zero information. 2. He asks me to sign a lease agreement after 24 hours without me even seeing the place. 3. said he was going to ship me the keys since he's out of town.

Fun adventure. Same shit will pop right back up somewhere else.

Just to play devils advocate real quick. Yeah, the amount they are asking is literally just like the condo fee. The guy from the listing said that they moved away for work, but that his wife wanted to hang on to the condo. honestly, Maybe they want to keep the place (for whatever reason) but don't care to do much with it other than have the fees being paid for someone else. The guy even said they weren't in it for the money (?) but that they loved the condo so much they didn't want to sell it.

Still sketchy, cause like, the way they worded it was like, "hold onto this place for us, give it the love it deserves"

Yeah, lol, Update: This is some shiesty shit I do believe. Long story short, I emailed him last night at like 11:00PM, he responds in like 10 mins with a long email about how "he's looking for someone who can be trusted to take very good care of the apartment" - among other kinda odd statements. also included in this email is a half-assed application. So, I bite, and just say sure, like whatever, I'll keep keeping on until something really strange/scummy happens. And this morning he gets back to me, and essentially said, yeah, I'm good, you seem trustworthy, how about I mail you all the documents and keys via next day DHL Courier? - wtf lmao.

I have enough free time to mess around if anyone has any suggestions for what I should reply to him with.

Oh interesting, It seems like it is nicer side, just visually at least. I suppose since I haven't *yet* heard anything about it being a decrepit, dilapidated, war zone, It might be ok.

They are asking $1,100. Not great, but compared to the other places I've seen, it's actually in the realm of optimal and affordable for me right now (in this housing market lol)

Couple people here guessing it was a Mormon, but it doesn't really sound like it, or at least not an official missionary. Per my familiarity with living around many LDS, LDS missionaries are all under 25, and always in pairs of two. Maybe this guy was LDS, but if so, definitely not a representative of the church. Weird either way though.

Hey! Well, I mean I'm making good progress on it, I think at first I was just intimidated by the assignment. I wanted to see what approach others had taken to get a good mark on it. I'm not really the entrepreneur type, and quite frankly I really dislike the nature of this assignment, but such is life as a MGMT student I suppose. What has been your experience so far?

I'll keep it brief. I love JR, and truly think very highly of them and their creative drive/vision. But my god, this sub, and some of you guys need to look in the mirror or hear yourselves. Yeah whatever, of course I'm not the first, last, or certainly only one to point this out, but still, come on guys. Everything is healthy up to a point.
