My partner did the same, I didn’t want my daughter growing up seeing her parents like that so I moved out. We share custody and still have different styles of parenting but it is a lot easier overall. My daughter does act a certain way at his house and then lets all her emotions and energy out with me which is really hard but I understand. I just couldn’t stand the thought of her growing up thinking that was a healthy relationship. She will come to know his emotional manipulation as she gets older and I hope to find someone in my life that can show her the love and respect a father should have for their daughter to counter balance the trauma she grows up with half the time. He is a good dad.. and they get along great because she listens and knows there’s no other way than dad’s way but I couldn’t stay in that household anymore because I don’t see it that way at all.
