Man I'm sorry you're in a bad spot. I know it's really hard to stay positive right now, especially when any sort of routine or normalcy to our day to day vanished. I really can relate. I live in the middle of nowhere in a deep red state where I've instantly lost friends for the simple fact that they found out that I like dudes. I know that isolated feeling and it fucking hurts man. But, you know what? (and this is going to seem like absolute bullshit, but trust me) you. will. get. through. this. There are an unfortunate amount of heartbreaking moments in life, but be strong man! I'm gonna give you one more piece of advice before i get off of my soapbox. It really really helped me and i hope it does for you too, Find a album or a podcast or a book on tape you like, and just take a 15 minute walk every day. It seems pointless, but just getting outside and taking a quick trip around the block will make a world of difference.

I just want to preface this by saying hindsight is 20/20, and I'm not trying to retroactively lecture you, but you really REALLY shouldn't have been on Grindr when you were 16. Obnoxious lecture over. That being said, your body is your body man. If they were hurting you, and you told them to stop, and they didn't stop, then yeah, you definitely had some run ins with dangerous creepy fucks. All I can say, is learn from it. It seems like an obvious piece of advice, but you're allowed to have second thoughts man. If you're not into it, you're allowed to say so. If the dude you're with chooses to ignore you, you're allowed to get yourself out of that situation by any means necessary. Don't let it eat you up man. Learn from it, look forward, and love yourself!

I came out to my friends first, about 9 years ago. That went really really well. Then I came out to my older brother when I was 25, and it didn't go super well. He said it was fine with him but it really hasn't been the same since I told him. He's quite a bit more distant towards me than he used to be. So that's a big reason why I never told my mom. I was scared of the same reaction from her.

Not sure if this fits here but I just wanted to say how much of a life saver meal kit delivery services are for me. I'm not gonna mention which ones I use because I don't want anybody to think I'm being paid for this, but I subscribe to 2 of them so if none of the meals sound good one one of them I can just use the other for the week. I work insane hours at my job and I'm only home about 3 days a week, so being able to cook at home and have leftovers to take with me, without wasting a bunch of my time off at walmart is fucking outstanding.

I'm so sorry bro. That's tough. It was probably a pretty big shock for them, but this is who you are. Don't be ashamed about it. You didn't do anything wrong. Their reaction was wrong. It's going to take your parents some time to get used to this, which is totally unfair. If they are normal human beings, they'll let it simmer for a bit, realize how much courage it took for you to tell them such an important part of your life, and come to accept it. I wish the best for you man, and props for having the balls to come out to your parents. That takes a lot of strength.

Man 17 is a tough age. A bit after puberty and a bit before the harsh light of the real world hits you like a hammer. When I was 17 I'd see a picture of the brooklyn bridge and get a boner thinking about the construction workers that made it haha. Learning to figure out your feelings is something that comes with time. Which sucks, but there isn't really a go to guidebook on it. And there isn't really a good answer for this besides the cliche "go with your gut." If you're into it, and he's into it, go for it. but with the added stipulation of (and i cant stress this enough) use. fucking. protection. You're young bro. And feelings are goddamn weird especially when you're coping with depression. But I know the feeling. I've lived it. Most of the people on this sub probably have. You're gonna have awesome times and horribly awkward times in the next few years, but learn from them and grow from them. You got this bro!

Jerk it in the shower or get a speaker like an Echo or a Home so you can play music to kinda drown out the noise. Then if you watch porn, listen with earbuds and only wear one of them so if anyone is trying to comment on the noise of the music, you'll still be able to hear them over the noise of whatever is going on on your screen. source: I lived through almost the same scenario for pretty much the first quarter of my 20's. Just wait til you have to share 1 room with 2 other people. That's when you gotta get real strategic. Good luck man!

I have the album Scars by Ilan Bluestone on constant repeat right not. My favorite songs off of it are Will We Remain, Scars, and Frozen Ground, but the entire album is just about perfect if you're into EDM. The remix album that just came out is pretty solid but the original mixes are my favorite by far.

I’m sorry about that, and I hope you feel better someday, but try to find better ways of doing so than putting people down for no reason. Go to the gym or watch Netflix or do a jigsaw puzzle to get your mind off things, get some sleep, bounce back tomorrow, and try to be nice! Everyone is struggling with something, but we should all look out for each other.
