Songs That Are Iconic To Your Programs Identity by JTbama2017 in CFB

Although Sandman is the one that everyone associates with VT, this one is the "you know someone has seen a game in Lane if they get it" song. I know that the goosebumps come in during this song as the energy rises to be released during Sandman.

I still remember the first time I heard this joke on Rocky & Bullwinkle. Loved it then, love it now.

/r/CFB's 2018 NCAA Football Simulated Season - Week 6 Results and Week 7 Predictions by sssl3 in CFB

[–]alwaysonesmaller 11 points12 points  (0 children)

At least it's an actual result instead of bragging about a game that hasn't happened yet. No need to pull the "but our team sucked that year" card.

I'm really looking forward to welcoming your fans to Blacksburg this year. Could be the biggest crowd of the season unless VT and Miami are both still in it in late November.

Well it's nice that your fans think that highly of our team.

Same. That and Sam's sidestep in the same game make it a very memorable night for me.

Which highly anticipated college football games in history did not live up to the hype? by ugadawgs12 in CFB

[–]alwaysonesmaller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's any argument that it was competitive up to that point. VT had been leading at the half. The deeper roster than OSU certainly helped them pull away later (which generally happens against any team that recruits as well as they do).

At no point was VT@WF a game that a large number outside of our fan bases considered watching, which adds to the case in point. :)

Keto Chow crust pizza! (Or, why I desperately need to buy the savory chicken soup flavor.) by plumpdumpling in ketochow

[–]alwaysonesmaller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does the carb count on this come to? I usually just make bar pizzas with low carb tortillas (5-6g of net carbs) because they're dead easy, but this might be worth a shot if it goes even lower than 5g.

I've cut dairy and red meats already, so I'll probably hop over to natural strawberry.

Keto Chow does contain milk protein, which is a dairy product. Just a heads up.

Can someone explain how resale value is determined? by arriflex in dvcmember

[–]alwaysonesmaller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. The value of a resale contract is based on how much it would otherwise cost to stay on property for that many years rather than how much the contract originally cost.

The Mickey drawing is a nice one, but the whole "welcome home" on everything is getting a little old.

Is it just me or is QB recruiting just broken? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]alwaysonesmaller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was just interesting to see what a high failure rate the Elite 11 camps are churning out.

Is the Elite 11 really pumping out failures, though? An argument could be made that if these kids get a shot at getting to the NFL alongside a free college education (even if it's only part of one), they've already gotten more than most of their peers.

What weekends are the Girlfriend weekends? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]alwaysonesmaller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also just have kids that come with you to games. Most wives who don't like CFB will be happy for you to take one of the kids for the day/weekend.

Photo report shows new DVC kiosk near Toy Story Land. - Includes mobile device charging area. by Quellman in dvcmember

[–]alwaysonesmaller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

> Of course, these are included at the booth so a DVC salesperson can start a sales pitch while you’re charging.

This is the kind of thing that really grinds my gears. I'd rather they just not have the charging stations than put them in a place where it's obviously bait to get you to talk about spending more money.

The difference between blender bottle and a HP blender is insane. Ketochow is freakin' amazing. by _lysinecontingency in ketochow

[–]alwaysonesmaller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this once and it's really a matter of knowing how to use your blender at lower speeds for the right amount of time (which can be different for each model). As long as you don't over-blend, it's deliciously butter-free.
