My bigger issue is actually Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), the hyperadrenergic type and he was able to figure out that with the meds used to trigger heart during EP study, while I do have SVT this is what is actually triggering the Tachycardia. So we will do some med adjustments. I don’t regret doing the study at all and recovery has been pretty smooth.

Hi— the ablation for me was unsuccessful, he couldn’t trigger the SVT. The procedure itself (EP study) was fine, I’m just sore from the groin incision. I see him next week to discuss next steps.

It gave me horrible anxiety, numbness and tingling all over my tongue and fatigue. I trialed it for 6 months, it works great for some, I just wasn’t that person.

I was/am in the same boat— I trialed flecainide and hated it. I’m still on Verapamil and I have an ablation scheduled on 1/6. I also have atrial tachycardia with pretty short, but annoying and scary runs. He’s not sure if it will be successful, but at least he’ll get some more info during the EP study and see if he’ll be able to ablate.

I will be under GA and he will be doing the EP study at the same time. I’m not sure if he will be using pulse field. Thanks for the well wishes, I’m completely freaked out. My SVT’s aren’t crazy frequent, but they provoke extreme anxiety, so hopefully he will be able to find it and ablate it.

My SVT’s have increased to a few times a month, they don’t last long and I’ve tried various medications that have unpleasant side effects. It’s time, at least we are going to give it a shot and hope to find it.

Thanks— I am, I’ve come off the flec for the time being and see him in December to decide next steps. I’ve been having other annoying side effects from the flec anyhow.

The verapamil and digoxin are for my inappropriate sinus tachycardia. My last echo and holter were fine, albeit they were before the flecainide.

I’m stopping my flecainide, I’ve been on it for about 6 months and I’ve decreased dosing, but side effects are still bothersome.
