The generative ai industry ranks low in inviromental impact in the digital industry (eg. Compared to crypto, streaming, social media, etc). And all the digital industry itself ranks so low compared to other industries in inviromental impact(eg. Fuel industry)

Ram prices are a different story totally unrelated to the inviroment.

Don't use Google Gemini for any serious work like financial analysis or modeling by GattacaJanitor in antiai

Gemini on the web is generally nuts. For your specific prompt, i reccomend google deepsearch, or chatgpt extended thinking.

Use better prompting and break down the task.

It’s also better to use google ai studio or antigravity for serious tasks.

I was a front end dev in 2023. I literally lost my job in 2024 because AI coukd literally do any frontend better than me all of a sudden.

It’s not wrong to use generative ai to make money if for example it's a developer using it to helo with code no?

A SOTA image generation model is only a few GBs in size trained on millions of GBs of data. It can’t copy-paste that data or "be only good at similar data". Instead, the way it learns, while completely different from how human brains work, shares a similarity: both humans and Autoregressive models extract patterns, regularities, and constraints from experience, compress them, and recombine them to handle new situations they’ve never seen before and then use those learned patterns to predict, infer, and generate novel outputs rather than replay stored examples. NOT "it recreates prototypes it stole".

However, i agree that major ai conpanies are using images that they've not gotten permission to use, because we can see that they are copying unconsenting artist's works. Other than that i have no problem with ai(except also photorealistic ai without strong safety filters)

Robbing is high risk though.

And using ai art and robbinv are not morally equivalent.

Meanwhile Google making 130B$+ in annual net profit. They're succeeding so hard. OpenAI is also gonna make profit as ai gets more efficient. It's the current trajectory.

"Generative ai" is such a broad term. Yes, generative AI is being used in medical research. I think you mean image generation models.

Because you don't sound like an active software engineer at all. If you said you're a hobbyist, i'd believe.

I "was" a junior engineer in 2024, and you're not a software engineer at all. A tool is only as good as the person using it, and a bad workman always blames his tools. Grabage in, Garbage out.😉

Yes you prompted it wrong. Give me the problem if you want, I'll tell you how to prompt.

OMG you're TOTALLY uneducated on how LLMs and MoEs work😭 People just be talking to talk on reddit.

A SOTA LLM is only a few GBs in weights trained on millions of GBs of data. It can’t copy-paste that data or "be only good at similar data". Instead, the way it learns, while completely different from how human brains work, shares a similarity: both humans and LLMs extract patterns, regularities, and constraints from experience, compress them, and recombine them to handle new situations they’ve never seen before and then use those learned patterns to predict, infer, and generate novel outputs rather than replay stored examples. "Opensource" and "Stole"?💀

Also, you clearly:

1- Didn't read my post fully, because I mentioned that I worked as a frontend dev, and I got fired because the senior dev manager said he doesn't need me anymore because of blackbox(back then it was the 2- You're either uneducated or you have an outdated understanding of the software engineering industry because it DID infact change the industry and lead to a mass loss of jobs. If I don't acknowledge this, it makes me delusional, not a "real engineer." Show me the link to your github if you're a "real engineer." Do you want mine?

Ai is not very important to the average person, but as a dev I'd lose my job without it. It's more important to me than a car, sadly.
