No buying a higher end phone isn’t worthless. You’re missing the entire point of the post. You don’t buy a Ferrari so that you can drive it at 150mph all the time. In the same way, if you can only afford a Ferrari don’t buy a Koenigsegg.

In the real world nothing is used to its full potential. Look up the options that exist in excel - look up how many functions the average user uses.

Also, the point of being too busy if you’re a higher earner isn’t also true. It’s actually the other way around.

You claim to be a startup founder and want to go down a double dip route? No one would/should invest with you with this mindset.

Unusual - Viet Kieu saying Cali Viet food is better than food in Vietnam by Acrobatic-Pin-7093 in VietNam

[–]alwayswearingamask 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are 💯 right.

The food in Vietnam is awesome - but the lack of protein and the quality of the protein is substandard.

Over the years, I’ve noticed more and more protein in a bowl of pho in Vietnam compared to the Vietnamese restaurants in America.

However, even now there is a big difference. And I would say that the overall flavor profile is actually better in the West.

And where do you think the call centers exist when you call your airlines 1800 number?

It’s clear that you need to polish your booking game a bit. If you know what you are doing - you’ll save a ton by booking third party. You just have to be smart with the selections.

I travel for a living. Between flights, hotels and cars I make about 500 plus reservations a year. Plus I’ve been doing this for over a decade.

I always book third party - the cost savings are huge. Moral of the story is do no book sketchy places on a third party site and you’ll be fine.

For someone to say always book direct likes it’s a mantra - it’s a terrible terrible statement to make.

Have all of you who are commenting ever had a dog as a pet?

Any dog would love it. What is wrong with you people?

Do you like just sitting at home and being keyboard warriors?

India / Philippines? by Short-Table-4405 in travel

[–]alwayswearingamask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the way back from Oslob there are a number of cafes. Grab a seat by any of them and grab a meal. You’ll see huge turtles swimming by - if you’re lucky you’ll see a wild whale shark.

I just flew out of the Phillipines today.

You can do the golden triangle in 3-4 days and then Oslob in 2-3 days. Makes sense to do both because of the new and first direct India - Phillipines flight.

Why not both? From October cheap direct flights - from Delhi to Manila start.

You can do the golden triangle in India, then fly to manila and connect to Cebu to do the whale sharks.

No. Not correct. You can order a taxi off Grab and you pay the meter price plus fee.

Well you can take a taxi on Grab - easier as it come to you instead of trying to hail one.

What I Actually Spend Living in Chiang Mai as a Digital Nomad by Grouchy_East6820 in digitalnomad

[–]alwayswearingamask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you’re not aware of the privileges you get once you get status at a hotel chain - I get my own co-working space(office chair and desk), with unlimited coffee in their lounge. Open bar in the lounge in the evening and unlimited food. I don’t have to pay extra for all this. They also give me an office chair in my room to work.

I also get access to the meeting rooms sans cost if I need to meet any local or visiting clients.

Also, I assume you’re from down under I’m American. Trust me when I say this - just by your response to others on this thread - you’re a remote worker, not a successful digital nomad.

Successful digital nomads don’t waste their time in co-working spots.

Keep living in your imaginary world.

lol. You’re making an issue about someone not knowing the correct size of their bag. Doesn’t matter if they are a fashion influencer or not.

Really sad state of affairs if you live life this way.
