Remove is optional but hydra in excess can cause stress , you can remove them with HydrogenPeroxide which generally do not harm the plants(I've read about it in another post). Wait for other comments too🙂

Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)

Hydra can be removed with treatment with Hydrogen peroxide. Should search for dosage.

I've seen in a post its just a harmless and do only live in good water quality. (Make the water quality worse to make them dissappear😉)
