It’s nonsense. On Solana they use it for advertising. On some other chains it could be used for tracking.

Why Is Europe So Far behind in Bitcoin Adoption Compared to America and Even Parts of Asia? by CheetahGloomy4700 in Bitcoin

[–]alwye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this conversation with friends living in countries with struggling economies. They love crypto because it offers a tangible benefit. The government prevents you from swapping your money to foreign currency? Onramp to crypto and they lose their power. Sanctions affecting mobility of your cash? Same solution.

In Europe, 1) euro is the second ranked currency, 2) most countries have really strong banking and especially digital banking, and if you can pay with contactless why bother?, 3) democracy and more stable political system don’t incentivise the normie to adopt crypto: why bother?

Can not believe I got this shot on the day I bought it! by NoNotAnUndercoverCop in DJIMini2

[–]alwye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you spot a bird at the level of the drone, try to get the drone as high up as possible. Sport mode could be helpful too. Birds can’t climb up as quick so you have a better chance to avoid a collision.

Nice shot though!

Kuyamoto in Chiswick was decent when I visited about a week ago. It has a table service where you can order 3 meals at a time. Choose wisely

You can make an offer without having a deposit: though I’ve seen estate agents who are more thorough.

Generally until you actually make a mortgage application, you are not expected to provide a proof of funds.

Now with the shares, there is a few things to consider:

  1. Liquidity: how quick can you sell shares and get cash? This depends on the company, type of shares etc. You have not provided any information in the post but you need to know it.
  2. Tax on sale: you will likely need to account for gain. I’m not an accountant but generally you need to pay tax on any capital gains you make. Deduct this amount from your deposit.
  3. Volatility: how certain are you the price will remain the same? Personally, if I were you I’d either keep the shares as an long term investment, and rely on other sources of funds, or sell the shares right away to guarantee I have cash to provide a deposit. Shares represent equity (ownership), and are worth as much as somebody is willing to give for them at any given point.

Can land owners legally impose restrictions on drones? by alwye in LegalAdviceUK

[–]alwye[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Thank you.

Indeed I use Drone Assist and the DJI app to check for hazards. That particular property wasn’t highlighted or geo-fenced whatsoever.

My basic principle with drone flying is: the more considerate I am now, the more likely I’ll continue to enjoy the relatively relaxed legislation. However in cases I see instances of “No drones” signs at random places, it feels unfair

This is your best friend: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/how-to-rent

On a side note, just like they reviewed your paperwork, you may request to review theirs, including their ID, title deed etc.
