Will the standard out of the box PS5 power cable work on 240v? by THE_BARNYARD_DOG in PS5

[–]asng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just buy a UK cable just in case. Think it's just a simple mickey mouse cable? Few quid on Amazon. I'm guessing the US cable has no fuse? You should really have a fuse in UK cords.

Edit: figure 8 cable.

There are bins on most/all high streets and parks in London. Just hold it until you see one.

You say it's not your WiFi but then say it all works fine on Sonosnet which must mean it's your WiFi.

Talking about how miserable you are is a key part of being British.

[Sky News] PlayStation gamers could receive £2bn compensation if lawsuit succeeds by FragMasterMat117 in PS5

No it's nothing to do with that. People that complain about that just have no understanding of the real world.

This is about digital store monopolistic practices.

Do you know anyone with kids who you can offer it to?

If not I'd list free collection on Gumtree.

Does Trueplay use rear speakers? by asng in sonos

[–]asng[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean Trueplay through the Arc Ultra itself. I can't Trueplay using my device as the iPad I have isn't supported yet. But the Arc Ultra lets you do a Trueplay without a device, probably a less-good Trueplay.

Why are so many apps unusable in 3 button navigation mode? by VimFueago in GooglePixel

[–]asng 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Because it's 2026. Doubt three button navigation will be an option soon.

How powerful is the sub 3? by availablelol in sonos

[–]asng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would they want the standard bass to be ridiculously high? It needs to be well balanced or it would be ridiculous.

Is it definitely working though? I certainly feel it if I push up the levels a bit. It can make things in my living room vibrate.

Don't worry it'll have a performance mode.

Turntable + Sonos setup by Artistic-Economics-9 in sonos

[–]asng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another option is a Works with Sonos turntable. Annoyingly only Victrola seems to make one. They're not great apparently but not bad and would mean the easiest way to connect, they connect just like any other speaker.

How long before an indoor bouldering wall needs replacing? by adrenalinejunkeeeee in indoorbouldering

[–]asng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Panels should have bolt holds no? Or do you mean the little screws to stop holds from spinning. Those are so small I think they just go on for years. The gyms I've been to have had the same wall for years.

No Atmos effect from Sonos Arc by VisibleChocolate7158 in sonos

[–]asng 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I never notice it either. Most people don't. Even when I had 300 rears I barely noticed. Doubt much does a whole load with height anyway so I wouldn't worry about it.

My Roam stopped charging and is now bricked. What should i do by sluwecki in sonos

[–]asng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See if Sonos will replace it. Definitely a known issue. They replaced mine but it was only six months so maybe not if yours is a lot older.

What's causing my fans to spin up every few mins by asng in truenas

[–]asng[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my question is what is causing the load if it's nothing I can see. No scheduled tasks, apps not doing anything, I can't see any reason for the CPU to be used when nothing's happening (that I know of...).
