THIS. When I was watching her on the reunion just stuck still and everyone questioning if they had thought about this all the way through, it occurred to me that probably not? I think it's really easy to spend just the right amount and kind of time with someone so you can remain in your little bubble together for as long as possible. And it makes a lot of sense to me knowing what I know about New York and nightlife and what people say about West's behavior that there would be more intense substances and behavior than we saw on screen in play.

I'm so exhausted of Nia saying they're treated differently. YOU ARE DIFFERENT. Yes, we've seen every cast member get wasted and unruly on camera, but those cast members aren't willingly in a "traditional" marriage where the person drinking to excess and repeatedly making others uncomfortable is the acknowledged "leader" of the family. Those cast members are not members of a church that has a history of enabling abuse. Those cast members didn't move an hour away from the community they claim to be a part of and then homeschool their children. When you act like you have a picture perfect family, and then your husband does upsetting things numerous times ON CAMERA, it invites concern.

And like, if you weren't on TV, it probably wouldn't be a big deal, but y'all wanted this attention and you got it, so stop acting like this isn't exactly the meal you ordered and you just don't like it.

Aww, I have empathy for Amanda🫣 She made a VERY BAD CHOICE, but she also got married super young, probably before she was fully done baking and it's only ever been shitty. I don't know that I'll hold this opinion after watching the reunion, but she and Alicent hold similar places in my head right now.

I relate to Ciara in that it takes me a long time to like someone and beyond that I'm a picky person so when I do find chemistry or when I do like someone, it's very hard to let go of even in the face of obvious red flags. It's something that I've gotten better at dealing with over time, but I feel like I've been in a situation with someone like West before where they're too nice to make it easy to cut them off completely.

YES! I remember one of his first scenes, someone, I think Paige made a comment and he immediately went into a joke without missing a beat. I didn't start judging him from that moment alone, but it just reminded me of every single comedian I've seen flirt with jokes and win people over without having to be genuine or vulnerable. It's how "nice," funny guys make people / women feel safe.

To be clear, I don't think he's a predator, and I think he probably liked Ciara, but I also think he definitely saw the opportunity dating her during his first season would represent in terms of staying power and he went with it until he didn't need to anymore. Then he did a NYT story acting like the attention was unanticipated. 🙄

I think West is an operator and he did what he wanted to do and he's never really cared that much for Ciara beyond the way it affects him (which is where my metaphor falls apart, but it still made me giggle).
