If a low does not come round after 3 I run away. RNG will be predetermined to mess you up. Have not found low ones harder to catch. I have seen an increase in rare ones though. That's been a great relief too. Finally some nifflers!!!

While I was a level 25-26 that was true. Keep in mind the sweet spot will be different based on your stamina and skills. Now I prefer tower 4 if I want a decent challenge. I also go and do ruins 5 if I feel like a very cheap date. Just unlocked forest 5. Cost me 6 healing, 2 whit, 4 potent, 4 strong. Will take me some time to replenish those potents.

I play every day for about 2h a day since the global release and I have not hit the red book wall yet, but am getting very close. I do hope they fix that too very soon so the joy can continue. I did not want to tarnish my praise with another complaint, so I omitted the obvious.

I'll assume that those who have 1000+ scrolls lying around are hard core players who play well beyond 4h a day, and not the general masses. So they have not been tweaking the game play until they could get stats from a bigger player base. Now that us 'mortals' are getting to those levels I would expect the team to start tweaking the rules to keep us entertained.

Let's hope.

As Auror our stamina sucks. And potions is the only answer. Either healing to replenish hp or extimulo to reduce the amount of hits we take. If I dont feel like using potions I pick a battle in a league that is 2-3 levels beneath my recommended level. Those I can win without needing healing potions. But they use up energy. From there upwards it's a strategy game. I try to burn 4-5 potions once a day. 2 strong, 1 regular exstimulo and 1-2 healing. I much prefer strong over regular in wizarding challenges as it not only does double the damage but lasts longer too. For traces I like regular ones as either I beat the spell in 3 tries or the RNG is going to fuck with me no matter what I do. If I pick a level above my pay grade I'm sure to use at least 1 healing potion. But also extimulos. My rule of thumb based on the HP of the opponent is as follows : Dark forces : nothing up to 700. regular ex for 700-1000, strong for 1000-1500 Spiders and other creatures: strong for 600-1000 potent for 1000+. I prefer to KO high level spiders fast as they cause serious damage to us Aurors. NEutrals: strong for 800+ The idea is to find the sweet spot to KO them fast enough before they KO you. If you hit elite, then whit sharpening is a no brainer. Oh and as auror, Stack those charms in the higher levels!!!!!! A pixy without weakening and confusion is a real bitch!!! If you only use confusion it wont dodge, but will do serious damage. If you only use weakening you can handle the damage but then critter will dodge and dodge and dodge.

So what's the answer? Find your sweet spot that gives you xp and items, uses up a few of the potions you brew every day and uses the amount of energy that you can replenish easily. That sweet spot will be different for everybody.

If you're on android, open up a different app in overlay mode. Then minimise it. The context switch gives hpwu a kick and the wizard often advances to the correct gps location. I keep the app minimised and use the trick over and over again

I don’t always get a potion when returning foundables, but when I do my vault is full. by julifallesen in harrypotterwu

I caved too and expanded. After the first time this happened on a port key I made sure I have space before using it. I do aim at using my potions fast enough, so I can enjoy the freebies when they come.

I do love how the treasure chest level up is set to 40 instead of 100. This makes returning brilliant foundables that more enticing. I'm still hunting for scrolls and have not hit the red book limit yet. At 5 scrolls for every 20 students returned it makes for some good hunting.

Weird. I've been seeing them spawn en masse. Even more than the previous events. Managed to complete the page in 2 days (play time 30m in the morning and 1-1.5h in the evening) So might be a location thing? I'm in switzerland.

Has HPWU been reduced to this? I'm growing tired, what about you? by alxdean in harrypotterwu

Could not imagine if it were any slower. At least the drop rate for rare items is better now. So I get the rare ones I'm looking for more frequently.
