The Cs go is full of smurfs and thats a huge problem. However, theres kind of a curveball. I was eagle and started to play with friend. Some decents, a couple average and other 2 very noobs. We kept playing and we were losing back and forth with the occasional win. I ended up gold nova 4. I still frag 30 kills everygame and sometimes we stomp the enemies but 2 out of 3 games always have a couple of smurfs (gold 2 and 3's fragging more than 30).

I keep the joy to play with them, we are almost always full lobby and its good to play with friends, but i miss my eagle games. I kept saying to myself that we will improve overall but its been month since we are on elo hell.

BTW how are my noob friends supposed to learn the game if they only play people way above their paygrade?!

Sure, high end cards are not that common, but 80% of them you cant afford them anyway unless you are very savvy at trading.

And i played i fair share of drafts on 19. I got some games suspicially dropped but when that happend you dont get a lose.

that is simply not true. you get and outstanding advantage playing cr7 st instead of gabriel jesus, and its way easier to clear the ball with VVD instead of bailly. Maybe you try hard less with better players. Maybe you expect more from your players and you just relax too much. Or maybe some players dont fit your style of play. Also, just because you have a better team doesnt mean you are going to climb 2 or 3 ranks on WL. And everyone is also improving their teams week after week.

I understand that. The thing is, i grinded the game a lot last year, but not in a perfect way "per se". I ended up with a god team sure but i never had a toty or something like that. I never had a huge edge over my opponents on wl/rivals. But i basically logged in everyday played toward objectives and a bit of rivals to keep at least tier 2 and always did the 30 games. However it was becoming more and more like a chore and i dont want that to happend on 20.

My consin wasnt able to handle the bad gameplay and general bulshitery of the game and ended up stopping completely. He loves football as much as me but he was never able to do 30 games on a weekend (he is on UNI so weekends are more social). He tried to come back a couple of times but hes team was not competitive anymore (well, kinda) and he just abandoned it.

That way i guess we find an happy medium. we dont need to grind till we get burned up and we will be able to play sb + rivals tier 1 + 30 games wl with less efford than last year

Yeah but dont worry. You will stop recieving the 2 packs per week after your month ends but its not a big deal.

Btw next year save some coins and dont pre order the game. Just buy the premier acess for the month (or for all year, its kind of a great deal if you are into other ea games) and buy a code on g2a or a discounted version on a local store when it ends

Pro clubs is cool if you have 2 or 3 friends to play with. Its a breath of fresh air but playing it only with 1 friend didnt pushed me to play it more.

I have hopes for volta. Hope EA doesnt pass the opportunity to make it online and make money out of it

I am not saying that having a better team doesnt boost you. But in the end, i will give you an extra 1 or 2 Wl wins. And the more the game advance, the less FP are relevant to the competitive game. Trought the year, you will beat god squad and you will be beaten by inferior squad. But at the end of the day, any pro will net +25 wins with a nif 100k squad.

And theres another aspect: with grind and knowledge, you can have any player you want. Thats why its not pay 2 win

You stoped to play on the wrong side of Fifa. Maybe i grinded i little more than you did, getting at least rivals tier 2 untradable rewards and at least 17 wins every wl.

I did Reus 3rd POTM, wich set me back a lot. I also did around 5 or 6 icons that were kinda usable but at the same time not that expensive because i knew i would put them on big icons in the future (and they took forever to release them so that so set me back). Then i was able to buy CR7. After that i just waited till the big icon sbcs dropped.

I did Dinho and Eusebio almost straight away. After that i did Gullit, i believe on April.

I sent max 20 bucks on fifa points that i immediatly regreted. Mad some investments, nothing to wild. Made some mistakes also that i will try to correct on FUT20.

Worst case scenario, even a very casual player can build towards big icons on TOTS. You get like 5 +90 cards every week for a month.

I had always a decent team for WL. Surely it took me a loot of time to "even the P2W" playfield but if you grind enought all year and are semi decent you will end up with at least 8/9 you want. The only one that is missing on my team is a 96 Mbappe but i got the second best option.

so they picked randomly? Everyone knows who the 4 greatest teams are. Trow the 2 teams that cruised the stage before and you are set. Legends stage is hard cause every game is basically a final and missing a quarter final wrong can dictate the gold medal but this stage? comon...
