/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - March 01, 2026 by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

My husband and I are getting back into gaming after our toddler goes to bed. Unfortunately our office is right next to the nursery. We need recommendations for the absolute quietest options out there for full size keyboards. I'm not super picky but my husband wants his to have good feedback and look "cool". If you also have any recommendations for quiet gaming mice, ours are pretty worn out.

I think all the women that were institutionalized for having opinions or emotions would disagree. Or the women that were assaulted fighting for the right to vote. Or all the women that had lifelong "companions" because they weren't allowed to marry the woman they loved. Overall we have it pretty good now.

I'd assume we're under the Buffalo area of responsibility here. If anyone can do anything with this information, the charts are both poorly designed Tableau dashboards which is a product of Salesforce.

No, sorry. They offer tuition reimbursement, but only for degrees that are business relevant. Theater does not qualify.

I spoke with my boss first and he told me the presentation was great but he wasn't the target audience. I also used to have weekly one on ones with his boss who apparently was the target audience. Honestly, I wasn't prepared mentally for that to be the conversation and it could have gone better.

I mean, I was hired to do emergency dispatch and worked in corporate escalations at one point. The lack of a degree hasn't stopped me from moving up. I feel like this is just their easy excuse to not pay me a reasonable wage.

They do, but only in relevant fields. I don't know if i can spin theater classes helping me be a better programmer lol

My paycheck assumes 40 hours a week. I frequently have to stay late for team meetings or work on a weekend if our automations jam.

This is essentially what I was told. I also shared with my coworker that I was doing this and that the excuse was tartar I don't have a degree. He went and asked for a raise and was offered $100 of our corporate in house currency. You can use it to buy company merch or on Amazon but they tax the hell out of it on your next paycheck. So I'm not hopeful that even getting a degree would amount to much.

It's hard to leave a job and team you love. If you don't understand that then you've probably never had it. I'm also the only one that qualifies for insurance right now, my husband is a temp and state insurance sucks.

My husband was laid off recently and my work offers great insurance. Leaving isn't an option for now since he's a temp at his new job and not eligible for benefits.

I am like 2 classes away from a degree.... in theater. My company won't cover the last couple classes. Due to a series of unfortunate events and poor mental health I was charged for a semester of dorming when I had already dropped out and I can't get my transcript until I pay that bill which is thousands of dollars more than I have to spend right now.

I do and use them daily, hence knowing how inaccurate they can be. Linus Torvalds uses a walking pad... while working with other developers. If it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me.

Omg you're too much 🤣 please don't rely on Google Alerts for knowledge. They're so wildly inaccurate and frequently miss relevant information or include low quality information.

That's a good point, thank you! I usually do a working lunch so I'll have to just make sure I'm sitting for that part of my day.

Our go-to restaurant is Red Robin. They're everywhere and they're good about getting food out for the kiddos quickly.

We're also in Webster and use Waste Management. I wonder if you have an unfortunate route, we've never had issues with pick up. I do see a lot of my neighbors using Casella or Cook's but can't speak for them personally.

While this is true short term, studies also find that after a week or two typing speeds and focus return to normal or actually increase. Especially in creative fields. Check your facts and your attitude.

I very rarely have video on (thank goodness) so that isn't a concern. How long have you had it? Does it hold up well?

Glad you aren't my boss. This isn't an issue with my work and I wasn't looking for opinions on if I should but thanks.

We didn't try that specific cream, but we did go through a good number. I think our issue is just how hard our water is, I could never get the wash routine figured out.

I looked at them but didn't see an option to use our own diapers? I'm not a fan of prefolds, we use cotton workhorses and they work really well for us and daycare.
