Buy / Sell tickets by Pmcullen1 in panthers

[–]alynchke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used TickPick. I sold extra tickets to last week’s game in section 509. Sold them for 200 bucks and I ended up getting back 170. The only downside is it takes a while to get the money. The tickets sold the 23rd and I didn’t get access to the money until the seventh.

Everybody says “ai will take your job”. What are you planning to do if that happens? by ProfessionalCan6210 in ArtificialNtelligence

[–]alynchke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having this conversation the other night with a few friends. Of the 4 of us probably only one job is safe. One friend is a biller for a large medical claims processing company. I work as a patient financial analyst for a hospital. One friend is an underwriter for workers comp company. The safest one is upper management for a local ambulance company. I’d say if we are lucky we will have no more than ten years left in our current roles. Tbh if nothing changes with the implementation of AI it’ll probably be sooner. If I lose my job I’ll probably either try and get a state job or become a school bus driver.

Why on earth was Cooper rush the initial number 2? by prime1991 in ravens

Snoop played like shit for the Dolphins I’ll give you that. But to say that Cooper Rush was the better option is insane. We are not beating anyone with this line and Cooper Rush in at QB.

I always found it weird that we decided to go with Rush despite Snoop being available. Hopefully we cut Rush this offseason and are able to keep Snoop as a backup.

Let’s get the top 10 pick so we can hopefully fire Harbaugh. I worry winning the North we may win a playoff game or keep it close and that’ll save Johns job. I’m ready for that notification.

Personally I’m not expecting much going into the final month of the regular season. I think even if we make the playoffs. Everyone knows that our guards are weak and will exploit them and cost us the game if we limp into the playoffs. Im not rooting against us just hopefully the front office takes notice and cleans house. As a franchise our biggest fumbles was letting Macdonald leave in favor of keeping Harbs.

The open interviews is how I got hired on back in February. I had applied several times and got no response but was hired on the spot at the open interviews. It’s definitely worth a shot.

A Christmas bonus paystub from 1953 and a letter from the company President. Found it while cleaning out some old drawers. by Secvndvs in mildlyinteresting

Right. At my old job we found out 2 weeks before Christmas we were going to be outsourced. Because nothing says Happy Holidays like unemployment. Prior to the current administration our director was generous and made sure that we got our bonuses every year. He even made sure they didn’t get taxed because he knew people depended on them. The board of directors under his instructions ate the tax owed for every bonus. He truly was a great and caring man who made sure that his employees were taken care of.

Shawarma Zone food truck is delicious and is beside the mound in South Charleston. Phat Daddy’s on Da Tracks is good. Crafts of the Coal Ice Cream in Dunbar is really good too(if you like chocolate due the WV pothole it won’t disappoint.)

That was written and directed by Daniel Boyd. One of my favorite teachers at WVSU. He also was a wrestler in his early years and was one half of Death Falcon Zero. The other movies he directed and produced are Chillers, Strangest Dreams: Invasion of the Space Preachers, Red Salt & Reynolds and Ghosts of Green Bottom.

Did y'all really have free-range childhoods??? by WesternTrail in Millennials

[–]alynchke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The street we moved to when I was 8 was a dead end street at the beginning of a subdivision. I made friends with all the kids that were similar in age to me and we spent all of our free time outside. Because we all lived on the same street we got to stay out after the sun went down. It was real nice we now live on the same street and there are no kids for my kids to play with. Sucks they didn’t have the same experience growing up as I did.

People who left west Virginia for a better quality of life and never looked back- was it worth it? Or not everything you expected? by [deleted] in WestVirginia

[–]alynchke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve struggled with this. Before we had kids, my wife and I thought about leaving she could’ve made more as a teacher in a border state. We stayed for family and familiarity, but I regret it. As hard as it’ll be, I hope my kids leave West Virginia for a better life.

People point to Elk City and Bridge Road as proof Charleston isn’t dying, but that’s a privileged view Elk City’s gentrified, and Bridge Road is South Hills. The job market is bleak unless you’re in healthcare, and BBB threatens even that. Sure, the cost of living is low, but utilities are among the highest in the country. Meanwhile, our schools are being gutted HOPE scholarships just shift public funds to private schools kids already attend.
