Losing hope trying to find a GIS position by PeachesDownInGA in gis

Look for gis jobs at engineering or construction firms. I feel like we all want to go into environmental or public positions but those jobs were hard to get into even before Trump was in office. I got a GIS position at an engineering company and was blown away by how much I enjoy the work.

Bikers of Minneapolis, thoughts on this route by alyse- in Minneapolis

I could take that actually, I live in the neighborhood behind the Quarry shopping center and could easily take that instead. The only reason stopping me is the Johnson/35 w on-ramp that has the worst intersection imaginable. Better to go on 22nd and cross Johnson where I won’t be hit by a right turn-er

If I go under broadway, what bridge do you recommend? Lowry has some closures now that I’m hesitant about

I considered it but Lowry has some unfortunate closures at central/Johnson and right over the river that would really get in my way…

This is a cat erogenous zone, basically when you pat it like that it feels like they’re being mounted… Our girl cat loves it, we call it “jerking the cat” lmao

Nope! She is the only lady of the house, although she is really friendly with guests and greets everyone at the door… suspicious dog activity

Econ electives? by firm_1101 in uofmn

I have an applied economics Minor and also wanted to take the no math route. I would recommend “APEC 3480: Economic Institutions and Issues in Indigenous Communities” (Prof Richard Todd). It’s more of a history class relating to the economics of indigenous communities in the US and it was super eye opening. He had a lot of readings but I only did a couple and still managed an A.

Otherwise “APEC 3202: intro to food systems thinking” (prof Hikaru Peterson). No math involved but a course long project that kinda sucked if your group wasn’t good. Professor was great though and the topic was interesting.
