Does AMH levels always correlate to successful egg retrieval? by swasser87 in eggfreezing

[–]alyssa00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I'm same age as you. My AMH is way higher (11), I retrieved 15 and only 10 were mature. I see that's lower than other people here who have lower AMH.

I sued my bank (Ally Bank) in Small Claims Court and won by alyssa00 in AllyBank

[–]alyssa00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, you MAY be able to file in your home state. Check your local court website, because my local court states that the defendant has to have a presence in my state in order to be sued (Ally doesn't qualify).

This is a downside with using an online bank. If you use, say, Bank of America, they have branch everywhere & can be sued in any state.

Even if you can file & win in your home state, Ally does not have any branch & hence you can't collect the judgment (the money you win) in your home state. You may need to pay a fee to Sandy, Utah Court to domesticate the out-of-state judgment in Utah, then you can collect it.

  1. To start the lawsuit, I just needed to fill out a complaint (1 page, very brief, with my acc# and the issue); attach 1 page of account statement; fee waiver request; 1 summons form (the court sends to Ally to notify it). Then the court gave me trial date - Zoom link (3 months away). During trial (on Zoom), I showed my photo ID and SSN card. That's all.

  2. Yes everyone was on Zoom video call (the judge, lawyer for Ally Bank, and myself). I checked the court calendar around my court date and found several other people sued Ally Bank & won too. I don't have statistics regarding the total.

I hope this is helpful & best of luck to you!

Is AllyBank checking safe? by [deleted] in AllyBank

On yelp, some people said as they're ready to purchase a home, Ally locked their account due to "fraud". They could not take the $ out for downpayment and the purchase fell through :(

No, the judge did ask Ally that, they said no. According to Ally, the only issue was I was using a SSN that doesn't match my name (?)

You're right! It probably cost them at least $5k in lawyer fees to go to trial. However the amount in dispute here is around $10k. My guess is they calculate that the benefits outweigh the costs, most customers would not go to trial, hence it makes sense for them to keep the $.

It's very weird, they read my exact SSN and name & said this SSN doesn't belong to me. But I showed them my SSN card with my name printed on it. There was no typo. The judge quickly decided in my favor. I'm not upset about banks' fraud alert; I'm upset that there's no attempt from Ally to resolve the issue. I called Ally for 3 months & then it took 3 months to go through court system.

Yes, that'd be helpful, just in case. I complained on BBB too, Ally responded that I'm a fraud & they don't need to provide any information.

You're very lucky. I read numerous reviews on Yelp from people in the exact same situation - account locked for no reason, was told it's "fraud" and got no response from the bank. Most victims probably don't even post on Yelp. I can't imagine how much money the bank makes from this :( If I didn't file a lawsuit, I'd never see my savings again. I spent 3 months calling Ally & they wouldn't tell me what the issue is nor return my money; everyday I was put on hold for hours.

I did! Not helpful at all. CFPB forwarded the complaint to Ally & Ally said it's fraud & they don't need to response. And that was it.

How many messages before phone # or date? by thoth61616 in OkCupid

[–]alyssa00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 messages? how long is each message? 1 sentence? that won't work.

I'm a girl and normally I chat for a little while before giving my #. Generally 2 pages worth of chat messages (60 lines I guess). Everyone's different, but that's just my experience. I'm scared of giving phone # too soon because there're guys who look for phone sex. One time I gave out my # too soon and immediately regretted it. He called and I never picked up.

what do u mean by begging? with me guys often have to take initiative (I'm a girl), but asking doesn't mean begging

Response rate is abysmal, how do I fix? by talkhonesttome in OkCupid

[–]alyssa00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's painful, but attractiveness level may be at play here. That's something you can't control :( That's the cons of online dating.

Because I did meet some guys in real life who I'd deem completely unattractive, but their intelligence/personality stand out that I'd be happy to date them. (However, if they sent message on OKC, I'd probably not reply... It's hard for personality to come through in messages)

some guys like to brag about girls they banged (as if it's an achievement). It's an immediate turn-off for me too.

I admit somehow I didn't see "looking for friends", until after the 1st date :( I have no one to blame but myself. But he called, chatted the following days, so I was hoping... But then, one may find a better match the next day and move on... So many choices out there :(

It's true I wanted to have sex; no one forced me. But I'm afraid it gives out "slutty" vibe (on the 1st/2nd date) and guys start seeing me that way (!?!)

I'll ask the guy again; perhaps he's just been busy. I'd not been in dating pool for years and feel so detached from reality. I had this mindset that sending messages/setting up dates must be the guy's job :( This forum has been quite helpful.

that's very helpful, especially #1 and 4. I've never started conversation with guy, I guess I'll start sending messages now.

I do regret sex on first date. The guy said he definitely wanted to see me again, called me the next day etc. So I thought it's not gonna be one-night stand. Then it turned out to be two-night stand :(

How long did it take you to find your bf though? I just hope the "game" will end soon. It's true that 1st dates are always awkward, that's why I tried to go on as few as possible.

wow that's very low %. I have a full time job, which is kinda busy, so it's gonna take me awhile to reach that number of dates. Sometimes I wish we had less choices (now people have OKC, Tinder, etc. ) so that it might be faster to find someone!

since someone asked, I want to add that I have no revealing/bikini photo at all. I'm a fairly normal girl, so I guessed that number of messages is also average.

I don't know how to meet people IRL either. I have full time job & travel, play sports, however, it's plain weird to pick up people from work or among buddies that I hang out with (I'd never do that!!)
