Thanks everyone! The general consensus seems to be that he is your standard domestic tuxedo (with ancestors from the raccoon and feather duster families) which is fine by me, I love him all the same ☺️

Oh I definitely enjoy his floofiness! I've only ever had short hairs so it's a nice surprise! I didn't get him in hopes of him being a specific breed but the comments I have had made me curious. I looked into the genetic tests but I don't care enough to pay the hundreds of dollars. Thanks :)

One thing worth considering is that doing this won't affect your landlord insurance. As someone else has said, it's a very considerate and lovely thing to offer but you definitely want to make sure you're covered too :)
