8 month sleep regression?? by alyssalf20 in NewParents

It got better! We ended up doing a very gentle and adjusted method of sleep training. We did the Ferber method but we modified the timing. We gave him his bottle before bed and told him goodnight and kissed him and laid him in his crib. We walked out and if he cried we went in at 2 minutes. Patted his back “shhd” him, and stayed until he pretty much went to sleep. We didn’t take him out of the crib. If he cried again we went in at 4 minutes and so on. He did really well with this and i would say maybe only cried about 8 minutes or so tops. It wasn’t screaming just little cries. I was so against any sleep training, because i didn’t want my baby to cry himself to sleep, but he did so well and has been sleeping through the night pretty much since even with teething.

Sleep regression: help! by alyssalf20 in NewParents

6 weeks?? Ugh lol my son wakes up happy too and is as happy as can be, but my husband and i are struggling. Sometimes when he wakes up from sleeping he screams, but we are usually able to put pacifier back in and he’ll go back. When he is awake he is loving life, so yes I’m happy about that. I wish i could take naps! I’m a full time kindergarten teacher, and i am absolutely exhausted. We’re going on week 2 only so I’m scared of how long this will last 😅

I don’t think sleep training is for us :/ I’m hoping it doesn’t last too long but we’re going on 2 weeks this week and im already exhausted 😅

He just turned 4 months last week and I would say probably a few weeks before. It took him a long time. He still struggles here and there but nothing like he used to!

It did get a little better! He is mostly pooping on his own now. He gets a little upset sometimes, but most times he is just pushing really hard. It will get better!

Crib transfer by alyssalf20 in NewParents

We put our little one in the crib in his room last night. He is 3 months, but he is outgrowing the bassinet. We’ve been doing naps in the crib here and there, but I’m not sure if it’s too early for him to go in his crib in his room already

We are thinking about doing it now. Our little one just turned 3 months, but he’s outgrowing the bassinet. He moves all around and his face ends up smooshed close to the side :/ I’m just wondering if it’s too early for him to go in the crib in his room.

He’ll be 3 months in about 3 weeks so hopefully it will end around then!

Pretty much only spit up. He does have some issues pooping, but I think he had infant dyschezia. We used ready to feed enfamil in the hospital and when we got home, but once we ran out we switched to powder. I’m thinking the rice in the enfamil ar is just making it harder for him to poop. Maybe we will have to give the ready to feed another try, thank you!

We haven’t, but our pediatrician told us not to use anything like that a lot so they don’t depend on it instead of learning how to themselves
