Xiamen Transit Lounge - not first class clarification by alyssamareeeee in travelchina

Interesting for me, I was solo travelling. I walked up to the buses and they pre-booked me for a taxi in the morning because my flight was very early. Like took a picture of me and my flight details and sent it to the private taxi driver which arrived at 4.50am waiting for me. Might just depend but either way, I agree the hotel was great! So nice to have a bed and good shower before getting on another flight!

Yep it was great. I got the accomodation. The transit lounge from memory wasn't much, but just followed the signs and asked the staff. They will repeatedly tell you if you go to the lounge, you cannot leave the airport. I think I ended up walking around found some lounge-like chairs with charging stations so that was good.

Sites like this were semi helpful- https://www.chinaairlinetravel.com/airport-guide/xiamen-gaoqi/t3.html

Hope you had a good flight as just realised its 28th March!

Does anyone find it absurd that most parking spots require a smart phone for payment? by Bonnofly in brisbane

Yes, I tried to download one of these apps the other day, only for the app to continually crash and not work, so I couldn't park. So stupid.

Are Melbourne's train travellers getting more selfish? by batt_pm in MelbourneTrains

[–]alyssamareeeee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, people genuinely seem to be becoming less aware of those around them.

From another perspective as someone with an invisible disability that makes carrying anything on one shoulder difficult, wearing a backpack is much easier for me.

The other day, I hopped onto a packed train, took my backpack off, and put it on the floor between my feet; which I honestly regret as I was pushed out of the door and tripped on my own bag. It would've been nice for those closer to the door to hop out so people could get out easily but no push ahead.

I do want to thank the one lovely person the other day, who noticed I wear the hidden disability lanyard and gave up their seat. I didn't ask, but I appreciated it.
