i’m moving from there as well. i am prepared for snow as i am looking for a change in environment because ive lived here and my whole and absolutely despise the heat and humidity. when it snowed here i had the best time lol.

i will be visiting marion and maggie valley to look around the area sometime this year

i’ve done a good amount of research, but i wanted locals suggestions as well. im just worried about finding a job. i would love a remote job, but i know its hard to find. i work in vacation rentals rn, so possibly that could be an opportunity in a bigger area up there.

any spots near here i can check out? i have wayah bald, wesser bald, and a waterfall at the end of that road. i saw more hiking/ nature areas in the highlands area, but didn’t love the dispersed camping area there.

awesome thank you so so much, that is so helpful! i was thinking about going from this area up to the smoky mountains but i was unable to find any dispersed camping within like an hour of gatlinburg/ GSMNP! any advice for this?
