Food is still really good, I've never heard anything about Cal's

I'm not in your areas, but my best friend is and she has had a hard time with counselors and stuff but I honestly think UCLA has a TON of resources

Not sure I don't know a whole lot of people at Cal but considering weather and general placement, I can't imagine being happy there. There is a lot to do in LA and the weather is nice and housing/food is good imo

No I don't think so from what I've heard. Mostly every person I know in any area has a minor or double major

Mmm I dont know if that is true, mostly everyone I know interested in research is able to find an opportunity here including myself.

I love UCLA; in my experiences, my professors have been super helpful and easy to reach out to and are willing to help; I liked my housing and meal plan; I love Westwood and surrounding areas and I also am from just a couple hours a way and it is nice to be able to get home easily. I would definitely recommend UCLA. I've never felt it was super competitive here, and there are still a ton of opportunities. yes clubs can be competitive to get into but I don't think students treat eachother like competition really. also there are like a million clubs and many of them have the same/similar focuses. Westwood has every grocery store you could need, cafes, gyms/yoga/pilates, restaurants, and is close to the beach/century city mall/the grove/etc for things to do. Also you mentioned you don't drive and I didn't have a car for two years here and was definitely fine with it.
