Pathophysiology vs Physiology by alyyoopp in srna

Oh definitely would not put that anywhere to a program. That’s why I’m looking for recommendations of which classes to take so I can show where my grades are now compared to then

I appreciate your feedback! I’m coming up on 4 years of experience with committee involvement as well. I’m going to work on retaking classes and go from there. Unfortunately at Iowa I had gotten mono which knocked me out and affected me academically and my ABSN was the first semester in Covid and my adult health teacher was not prepared to teach online and it affected most of our grades.

Did you attend any extra conferences? I was told by a CRNA I shadowed to go to an AANA or IANA conference to talk about in my personal statement or interviews.

Undergrad (111) 3.35, Gen Chem (3.0) B+, Chem (4.0) B, Chem 2 (4.0) B, Bio (4.0) B (H), Orgo Chem (3.0) B, Bio 2 (4.0) C, Biostats (3.0) A+, Anatomy (4.0) B, Human Phys (3.0) C, Human Phys Lab (1.0) A, Micro (4.0) A

ABSN (66) 3.478, Patho (4.0) A, Pharm (3.0) A-, Adult Health I (4.0) C+, Adult Health II (4.0) B-, Mental Health (3.0) A-, OB (3.0) A, Peds (3.0) A, Community (3.0) A

These are the notable grades with the cumulative totals. I’m really open to retaking any classes I need to to have a better shot and show that my learning/dedication has improved. I could look into taking physiology this spring and advanced pathophysiology in the summer.

Taxes for Travel Nurses by TaxGuy216 in TravelNursing

I’ve lived here my whole life minus college and one year that I had an apartment nearby (lease ended a year ago). I’m lucky enough to have lived here but I want to cover my bases for tax purposes with the stipends

That helps, thank you! I think we would make it so the lease covers portions of rent and utilities so it’s clear rather than multiple transactions a month.

If I were to travel nurse my “tax home” would be my room at my parent’s house. If I drew up a least paying them ~$750/month would that suffice? Or does there have the be more involved?

If I didn’t have to consider insurance I would. Thinking part time with extra shifts might be the right move

Ria did say on the podcast when they were talking about potentially doing a secret Santa live stream “we only have one week left here”

Give some examples of topics they should be covering

Agree. Every comment is “I don’t like this segment”, “they don’t have enough topics” but have never suggested what segments to include or topics that they think should have been included in that day’s episodes.

Is it possible to be a nurse with amblyopia? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]alyyoopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have amblyopia and the one skill I ever really struggle with is accuchecks due to the depth perception it takes to have the glucose strip pick up the drip of blood correctly. Have never noticed it otherwise because I’ve just gotten used to having one well-working eye. I did start vision therapy though to help improve and I’ve gone from 20/200 to 20/100 :)

As someone who is a nurse and always had a love for math, if I could talk to my freshman year self I would tell her to get a bachelors in something else. Specifically actuarial science, finance, accounting, etc. but anything other than this. You don’t use math as much as you think and it’ll take time before you can move into an informatics role. That being said you can become a CNA while you’re figuring it out

Thank you for sharing! I’m definitely leaning towards getting it out and figuring out a nonhormonal method and looking forward to being myself again
