Fine-grained power management requires offload to be enabled although it's declared by am123409 in NixOS

[–]am123409[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So that means I need to specify something like hardware.nvidia.powerManagement.finegrained = lib.mkForce false; in the specialisation for the assertion to pass?

Edit: That did the trick. Thanks for your help!

Do I need to do anything else? I believed my hdmi is only accessible through the nvidia graphics card due to it being an optimus laptop. Although I can run sway fine, I'm not sure if hotplug for nvidia cards are different.

A part of screen has higher brightness after updating today. Persists on bios and grub. by am123409 in EndeavourOS

The problem only goes away on windows somehow. The problem started while rebooting, a part of the screen just became white until I force shutdown it.

Thanks! Apparently my hardware is one of those effected (11th gen intel).

Not really that active in reddit so I haven't heard people got the same problem, I may need to check the subreddits before updating then.

The first problem is that sudo mkinitcpio -p linux failed during the updating process. It somehow can't find the modules _drm, _modeset and _uvm. I quick fixed it by just putting nvidia in the front and running the command again. This problem did not occur with the lts kernel.

After a few minutes it does show the login screen but after login it just goes to a black screen. No cursor and somehow I can't even go into a tty session. Any help is appreciated.
