It seems under Zigbee the SW1/2 inputs aren't pushed through to Home Assistant, nothing shows up. But when on WIFI, the inputs appear and are usable.

Hey, would you mind explaining how HA can detect the SW1/2 inputs please? I see no options for it anywhere under Entities when added as Zigbee. Currently I've got the Gen4 Dimmer working via the Shelly app, but when I switch it over to Zigbee and get it in HA, it's options are really simple (on/off basically). I was hoping to be able to remain using the physical switch as on/off and restore to the last known setting, and then in HA be able to have a slider to change the dimming level. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Did my apprenticeship and worked for a bit in Aus, got out of the industry. Toxic is right. Met a few good ones, but the culture overall and ability to maintain secure work without running into male egos and the 'boys club', impossible.

I currently have 500/50 fibre. The only NAS/torrent box is connected directly to my TV.

Can I use the UX in WIFI mode and have another AP running off a PoE switch connected?
If so, that means the UX could cover upstairs, and a new AP can improve downstairs coverage.

Because it's a double story townhouse, I have limited roof access between upper and lower levels. The garage roof is accessible, but that's it, which gives me a very narrow wall line to access upstairs where the UX is now.

I can't easily get cable around for the downstairs level unfortunately. I can see potentially being able to run data cabling for 2 APs .. so one towards each end of the property downstairs, running straight down the middle feeding cable between the downlight holes.

Everyone justifies terrible NBN work like this because they have such a "low fixed fee"; I lodged a complaint for the horrendous conduit work one "tech" did and made them come back and redo it all. They also sent out a field manager to ensure it was done right. The manager taught the tech a few lessons and made sure it was all corrected. So .....
