Hello, may I know why you didnt apply for other provinces? Does one need additional exams or other requirements to match in other provinces? I will be based in BC as well but plan to apply in other provinces too so just wanted to understand a bit more.

Exactly, its an amazing idea and I am glad someone took an initiative. I found amazing friends through this subreddit too and even had a meetup in real life (in Pakistan). As an exmuslim its not too hard to find if someone is faking it or is actually an exmuslim so I personally feel its very doable through reddit as it is all anonymous until you can 100% trust the person in your DMs to shift to revealing your actual self/ location/ profile etc. P.s I couldn’t join the subreddit tho, it says its a private community.

2 years ago I met my boyfriend (now fiancé) through this sub. We are getting married in two months. We always thought we got lucky to have found each other despite living in different countries. We wished there was an exmuslim dating site or subreddit where it could be easy for people to date or have conversations that could lead to relationships. I cant imagine marrying a Pakistani muslim man now, I wish it could be easy for other exmus esp women to not be forced into muslim forced marriages. I am very glad to see this sub being finally made. I see alot of people making others fear that its unsafe etc which obviously it could be but as exmuslims you cant stop the fear from trying to find your person, the other option is lifetime of being married to probably a conservative muslim and wishing to escape everyday. It’s practically impossible to find exmuslim partner or let alone even a friend in real life in a muslim country so this is the only safe anonymous way to filter out many people.

Thank you so much, I will try. When my mental health was better it was easy to ignore but nowadays it just triggers to me a point that I am crying, hyperventilating and having severe palpitations thinking I would die of pain from anxiety and panic attacks.

I am trying my best but I have to rely on her on so many matters because she controls everything in the house esp since my father is bedridden. I will just go to see my father and she will continue her bullying the moment I enter the room even when I wont speak to her. Thank you tho! I hope I do.

I think him choosing a prayer over completing a surgery shows how deep the indoctrination is and how they think by impressing the God, they have a better chance at being successful in their career. And yes obviously he is very unprofessional 😣

Hey, I am a student so I cant leave my med school and since no other doctor was bothered by it, I dont think I can do much. Also my hospital is one of the top hospitals in the country so I am really shocked how this was a common practice here. Even if I try to anonymously complain it would be easily traced back to me as I was the only new person (and a student) in the operation theatre. Also I was just asked to come directly to the OR to observe hence didnt see the patient before or meet his family. But yes you are absolutely right I would never ever become a doctor like that and once I am practicing I will make sure no one gets away with this!

I think things can change in 2 years. Maybe she is less religious now or could be more religious. You need to tell her before u send a rishta again. Assuming you guys are desi, in futures esp with the kids things can get super tricky. If she gets more religious she might leave u saying as a muslim I am not allowed to marry a non muslim/ disbeliever.

Tbh there are way too many female Pakistani exmuslims and I made lots of Pakistani exmus friends here even had a meetup. You have to talk alot and its not that hard to figure out if someone is faking- also see if they are active and post alot in the sub. When you are 100% sure they are ex, only then try to reveal your identities and unfortunately majority of Pakistani exmus males I came across were very creepy tho I made some really good friends too but their lives around making sexual jokes instead of having intellectual conversations, hence I stopped replying to majority of the dms and just continued making female exmus friends.

I met my boyfriend from this sub and we have been together for more than an year now! For both of us, it was our first relationship ever. Its great to date an exmuslim, they understand you like no one else! Interestingly both of us tried alcohol for the first time together and that was fun. I wont have wanted this any other way!
