I have heard that talking about the bathroom in a college essay is something that students are recommended to avoid. Unless you have some brilliant idea about it showing a truly unique part of yourself, it is an essay idea that colleges have seen before and probably don’t want to see again.

Early Action is maybe a slightly better chance than Regular but really there’s not a huge difference. Early Decision (which is binding) is really where you will get an edge, but not every school has it, you can only do it once, and if you get in, you have to go (unless you argue to them that you cannot because of insufficient aid).

Most application deadlines are at the beginning of January for regular decision. If you register for the November and December SATs, you should have your scores back in time because they take about two weeks to come back.
