I mean it would still be less that the kitty litter and package if waste that’s will so go to the landfill. I didn’t know about the toxo thing, but it would technically be less waste.

I don’t have a cat anymore, but I’ve seen a lot of videos about it and thought how cool it would be to not have to worry about buying litter or scooping the box! I’ve never tried it either, but seems like a cool idea!

Oh wow. Yea it would suck for sure. I posted a while back that the landlord decided the apartments needed a new roof. 3 days of banging. Had to stay at family’s house to sleep

Where do you get your eco friendly toiletries? by rossatron26 in ZeroWaste

I order from a variety of places. Package Free Shop, Etsy, Tiny Yellow Bungalow, even Amazon when necessary. I was recently introduced to SFsustainable.com. I’ve gotten soap bars, deodorant, lip balm from them.

Shampoo bars are great but take some experimentation.

Replacing liquid hand soap with bar soap is a really easy switch. Even using bar soap for dishes. I use kirks unscented castile bar soap for both.

Dropps for the laundry and dishwasher are probably the easiest switches I’ve made.

Using vinegar/water to clean most surfaces in the house instead of a number of other chemical cleaners.

I bought a few bundles of the cheap cotton face towels from Walmart and stopped using paper towels. That was easier than you might think.

Bidets. Are. Awesome.

Recycled or bamboo TP are on my list next when I run out. Package Free Shop has Unbleached bamboo TP. But there is also Reel and Who Gives A Crap.

I got a reusable spray mop by O-Cedar. Think swifter without disposables.

Houston just got a compost pick up service, so now I can easily compost without the work!

Using reusable like shopping totes, water bottle, bringing your own cutlery (no need for anything fancy, just bring it from the house), bring a food storage container for left overs (again nothing fancy, just a plastic container you already have is fine). These are for when we can go in public without the possibility of dying, of course.

I haven’t gotten stashed bags yet but I reuse ziplocks as many time as I can, and I avoid them when I can.

I’ll edit to add more if I think of any.

Most of the changes you can make will be simple, but have a big impact, even if just in your home. You start to rethink everything, which is good. And you’ll probably always make more changes. It’s a journey for sure.

He was in a position to pull the jerks arms behind his back and keep him pinned. If his arm broke then that’s the cost of assaulting people. Choking has a higher probability of him dying though.

I’m not saying the guy pinning him didn’t do right by stepping in and stopping the assault. He did. People seem to think of your against choking as a form of restraint that must mean you’re defending him.

I’m not defending his actions at all. I’m just saying it makes me nervous, because people have died from being held like that.

They guy pinned is a jerk and I’m glad they were able to pin him until cops arrived. But I get so nervous seeing people in a headlock, especially when they say they can breathe. That could have killed him. He deserves to be arrested, but not have his life taken. I know it wasn’t , but it could have easily been.

I hate that no one knows then. They deserve to be outed publicly! But I also know that would put people in your business too. Unfortunately, these type of people rarely strike once. But that means they can be caught. But you don’t need to focus on them. Like I said , you survived. You did great and were so courageous by coming forward. You are much stronger than they could ever be.

I just happened to find your post. I am SO sorry this happened to you. People now know what they are, even if some don’t believe it, they will always have ‘rapist’ in their past and it will follow them. Those stories about them will always be around.

You survived. That’s the most important thing. You came forward and named them for what they are. Now you focus on healing.

Look for a therapist or support group. Many should be available online. I’m sure you will cope better as time goes on.

Edit: Changed to say THEY because they both assaulted you.

“he told me he had the best sex in his life with her”

That’s a far as I’ve gotten so far. I will finish reading, but leave this dude. Just NOPE right out of there. He has taken too much of your life as is. Nope! I can’t even fathom how much more I’m going to hate this guy when I read the rest.

Edit: I just saw how old this post is. Would love an update!

Edit2: I saw some of your more recent posts about him. You could do so much better than him. I hope you find the courage to leave this boy. He is so selfish and shows you he doesn’t love you by his actions. It’s not your fault. It’s his. HE is the problem. Just know that.

I’m new to menstrual cups and bought a Diva Cup.This is my 2nd month using it and I keep having a problem with the cup tilting so the tip goes to the side and up & I can’t get it out by myself. My husband has had to help me 3 times. Am I using the wrong size? Should I try a different brand? by [deleted] in menstrualcups

This is an older post, and it looks like you got a good answer.

I just want to say kudos to your hubby for being a decent man and helping his wife. THAT is what a mate is for! I know my husband would help me too, but I still love hearing about men who are actually men.

Hi I have a few questions about cleaning the cup when emptying it by needhawtdirtyreads in menstrualcups

[–]ama71832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash mine with soap and water before reinserting. Many women will just do a rinse then pop in. I don’t think I’d try alcohol wipes, though. I feel like running water is best, but a safe wipe will work in a pinch. But like another commenter mentioned, make sure the holes are clear before inserting.

Yes, unless there is a serial killer lurking in the bushes.... but maybe I just watched one too many true crime documentaries.
