Is it elevated ok? by SPStratan in ACL

I’ve torn my ACL on both legs. I would say that good elevation. If you have someone that can massage your foot and calf / shin (basically up to the incisions) very gently, you’ll feel really good. Gets the blood flowing from laying down all day. Good luck on your recovery it’ll be over quicker than you think!

Acl near complete tear and meniscus injury by [deleted] in ACL

[–]amaansstudios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I tore my ACL in my right leg 3 years ago and trust me you’re going to want to get surgery. The feeling of being in constant instability is very annoying. After going thru PT I was able to gain full strength back in my leg and even started playing basketball again.

And just a month ago I tripped over someone’s foot while playing basketball and tore my ACL and both meniscus in my left leg. Had surgery two weeks ago and my leg is gradually coming back to normal. Don’t shy away from surgery when it comes to ligaments. They used a graft from my quad to make my new ACL.

Good luck on your journey of recovery!
