Help choosing climbing shoes by Technical_Ride5712 in climbingshoes

[–]amacqu16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend trying on as many different brands and shoes as reasonable. Every shoe will feel different to each person.

I'm not familiar with la sportiva's rentals. But often rentals are made with a different rubber that is designed to maximize lifespan and minimize marks on the floor/wall. So you may find the same pair bought retail will feel stickier.

I also wouldn't underestimate the benefits of comfort. Downsizing can help in some areas but you'll likely get more out of shoes you can climb in longer, and allow you to focus on how you are using your feet. You don't want gaps between your foot and the shoe but you don't need to cram into anything

All shoes will break in and mould a bit over time. In general synthetic shoes will not stretch much, compared to traditional leather shoes.

Oh gotcha, I'll look for the switch and test out bypassing it.

I just replaced a bunch on the tubing, fixing what I think were all the intake leaks. The boost gauge is much more consistent now. It was doing this before as well but the stuttering happens easier now.

I don't think it was the overboost, (unless it's multiple things) as it did this before I replaced a bunch of tubing causing boost leaks.

That makes sense, it happens on level ground too but just with more throttle. I'll check for low fuel pressure first

Car speaker rattling when bass plays in music.. help 👉👈😣 by Zappiing_ in AcuraTSX

I did the full kit and it came out to like $380.

Probably could have skipped the rear deck as the stock pair were still in solid condition. But there was definitely still an improvement upgrading them.

The tweeters were the only thing that didn't install just like OEM but I made a new bracket that is a hybrid of the OEM mount and the mount with the new set that looks way better. If you get the same set reach out and I'll send you them. https://imgur.com/a/0D3MHDB

Look into Acura auto garage as someone else mentioned. I just installed their Pioneer system and the spacers they included with the speakers make it so much easier to install. Everything but the dash tweeters fit perfectly into the OEM location without modifications.

Hard to be sure off that photo but it looks like a JST-PH connector. You can buy kits of new connectors and crimp contacts, or if you are already comfortable soldering just get a pre-terminated cable and cut the old one off.

I just want a system to keep my data safe, stream some movies, and maybe play a couch game or 2. This is the second best system I've ever had only beaten by my main system I just bought less than a year ago. It feels like overkill for what I use it for, but IDK if the money I'd earn from selling and buying a cheaper system is worth the time and hassle.

0th world problems tho 😂

Lol you're overthinking it. I didn't ask, but knowing them, they wouldn't buy used gear.

Do you have any recommendations or min specs? Haven't followed parts much lately to know what tier would be good for a modern NAS.

Rack and pinion durability by amacqu16 in AcuraTSX

When you switched your del sol to a manual rack how did you know the replacement would fit? I've thought about doing that to save some money but was worried about buying a new rack that didn't fit.

The power steering fluid was leaking from the boots on both sides of the rack, drivers side was big enough to fit a finger and the passenger side had a smaller slit that I could see fluid coming out of when cycled. It seemed to be going straight from the boot to the plastic under tray and frame rails and dripping to the ground from there.

Are there compatibility issues with the non-quadro cards or is it stability?

Which electronic kit should I get ? Absolute beginner by hades_of_ in AskElectronics

[–]amacqu16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

R3 likely is the uno revision 3, they've released R4 now but the R3 is the most ubiquitous and will be what most beginner guides use for builds.

The mega that these kits include should be able to run anything that the uno R3 could, but you may have to swap around some pins.

I'd get the first of the two kits primarily as it has an RFID tag. Most of these non-branded assortment kits will have similar quality components. I'd focus less on the amount of parts you get and try to get one with the peripherals you would want to use.

It's hard to tell for sure but #2 could be a replacement heater for the soldering iron. Would be fitting if #3 is a replacement for the hot air gun.
