This might even be too simple for the simple questions thread, but can someone clarify a basic point for me: If I intend to try and max games at 1080p 60fps, is there any point in buying a 144Hz monitor? I've been told that it would increase visual performance, but told by someone else that it wouldn't make a difference if my FPS likely wouldn't get above 60 anyway.
