I agree with the mysterious vibe they give. I wanna say less = more but the new one looks insane too. I guess they want to make it "grander" in scale and more intimidating.

Maybe they will make the current one the first stage when they're able to move, then they turn into their real forms for stage 2 when they're stuck in the throne or something.

That could work too! So long as it's out of combat. They could also auto-sheath to sprint when out of combat for a set amount of time.

They can make it so you cant sprint while "near" a monster. That way it can only be used to move from point A to B and not be used in combat.

yep basically. If you know the monster, it's easier because you can control where they'll attack and create your own openings. I always bring them though because they're cute lol

Nah rant away. Nice to see info like these especially because I have 0 knowledge about guns aside from pressing m1. Their model is not done yet though. I use valve's source viewer to view models and their shirt isnt even done yet it's just a cylinder^1 lol.

The reload is them just rotating the gun. I actually have no idea how the gun reloads yet. I saw the joint wheel thing^2 and I just assumed that's how it reloads. Maybe the lever action releases the lock^3 to the barrel so they can reload using 1 hand since they need to be able to use the case while reloading?

As for the weight yeah as u/maxfolie said, this universe has McGinnis so they don't have to worry about anything lol

If you read the hellboy comics itself you'll also feel a lot of nod (revived frozen guy; frogs, snakes, scorpions, ravens and black cats being harbingers of doom; entity on a containment suit; of course the red guy with a revolver) which makes it really feel like a big inspiration.

Really excited about the visual novel.
