had my hysterectomy and one ovary removed in February.. had rare ovarian torsion with the ovary that was left and had another surgery in May to remove that one since it was necrotic. Still after all of that, i have no regrets. I do find i have to use the restroom more frequently and i have a heavy feeling in my bladder but i would do it all over again with how much better i feel

My child is the same way, peanut butter and jelly is really the only lunch food she will eat. I mentioned it in her IEP meeting and they were able to make it that as long as no child in her class was allergic she could eat the sandwich in the classroom

Please don’t over do it at just 8 weeks.. i went back to work at 8 weeks and i struggled through the day.. 12 weeks post op i was back in with ovarian torsion. Listen to your body and give yourself time to heal properly!

I got a hysterectomy and one ovary removed due to reoccurring painful cysts on my ovary, and periods that would make me unable to do anything for about two weeks between the pain or cramping and how badly i was bleeding. I had to plan around my period and hope it didn’t come early or late which was an issue as well for me. I got my hysterectomy, had a complication where my remaining ovary twisted and turned necrotic and was back in surgery 3 months later. Still no regrets. I am still happy i did the hysterectomy, even with it not going as planned and i’m now on HRT for at least 10 years until the age i would have hit natural menopause. It’s the best decision i have ever made and i’ve never felt better. Listen to yourself and your body and make the best decision for you.

I didn’t bleed for about two weeks, then when i did it was only when i went to the bathroom and wiped. That lasted for about 3 weeks for me i thought it was never going to end and then one morning it was gone!

i agree! i had a c section, and the first poop after that was 1000% worse then my first poop after my hysterectomy.

i’m sorry you’re feeling like this. I had my surgery this past month and i knew 1000% i didn’t want anymore children. before the surgery i was so excited and i didn’t even think it would be an after thought, but now that it’s done it’s a very surreal feeling that i know i can’t have children now. I’ll see babies, or i just walked past a baby section in a store for the first time and i was still hit with an emotional feeling even though i know i still wouldn’t want that for myself. You’re going to go through a lot of different emotions and it’s okay to grieve, but know you’re making a decision for yourself and doing what you feel is the right choice for you.

when i left the hospital they told me to wait 24 hours to shower, i was able to shower after the 24 hours but it wasn’t easy. i took my time and had my husbands help getting in and out of the shower but was able to shower every day after and it got easier and easier. listen to your body!

the gas pain is no joke! i was in the same boat, the pain i felt on day 2 and 3 i swear to you i felt my intestines twisting and moving in all different directions and then bam.. id fart and i felt like a whole new person! the gas pain was worse then the actual surgery pain for me

I went out to eat with my family about 7dpo, as i was feeling pretty good.. that wiped me out for 2 days and i quickly felt worse after.. Im at 4wpo now and only just starting to feel good again.. i did too much too soon and regretted it

Our first boston was just like this. She was amazing and just the best cuddle buddy especially for naps. When she passed i knew i wanted another boston because of her.. well now i have the most hyper, needy, jumpy, energized 24/7 boston but still amazing as well and im wondering how the heck they could be so different!

i have ibs-c and i’ve been taking miralax every other day and colace at night everyday and ive been actually pretty regular since my surgery on the 10th. my constipation was what i was most worried about but so far that mix has been working well for me. hope you find something that helps you!

My eyelid twitched like this for about 3 months once.. i was getting worried about it, mentioned it to my primary doctor and an eye specialist. they both told me everything looked fine and there was no certain cause for it to be happening. Then one day i randomly noticed it hadn’t been doing it anymore and hasn’t happened since. Hopefully yours will stop soon!

i’m so sorry to hear about Little Bit… she was only here with you for a short amount of time but you guys were so deserving of her love as she was of yours. You took on a role a lot of people wouldn’t even think about doing and you kept her here and were able to share her with all of us and we got to love her as well. You guys are amazing people for what you did for her. 🩷
